.....

Not really that funny.

I can't stand YouTube videos that have terrible dialogue audio.

There's this thing called compression. It's terrible for music and sound FX (arguably) but it's fantastic for dialogue. What you do is you take the audio file(s) recorded and insert them into an audio editing program (such as Pro Tools). You then find the compression effect. If you do not have one, you can Google "Free audio compressors".

Compressors basically take all of the audio wave forms and permits them from peaking above or below certain frequencies and volumes. You can also mix compression with normalization, by normalizing the Root-Mean-Square of all the waveforms and then adding compression.

I should probably email this to the makers of the YouTube video.

Oh yeah and about the actual video, aside from sound issues:

The main character with all the bad language is trying too hard to be funny.

The writer of the dialogue and scenes is also trying too hard to be funny. (Example: As he walks into work he yells at a female about a parking issue...then carries his drama into work by explaining to his co-worker that a "pregnant b****" was...need I say more? It goes too far. Just end the joke with the entrance, don't take it into work.)

Which brings me to my next point: As a viewer, I couldn't really relate to the main character. In fact I didn't relate to him so much that it never struck a chord with me, resulting in no humor. I was detached, if anything. The above example of unfuniness is a prime example of what I'm talking about. I would never yell at someone in public like that. I would never then tell my co-worker that I was just having drama issues with a complete stranger. Then I would never cuss like that to my boss. And a boss would never react so nonchalantly to such disrespect.

Furthermore, if you are a manager of a gaming store and you do allow that type of disrespect, then disregard my previous statement. However, take note that in most working environments, that type of conversation is generally not tolerated.

No problem. The bad audio may be due to the fact that where I'm at it's pretty late and I can't turn up the speakers that much.

There's a headphones joke somewhere in there.
