Dude , I am at a loss for why you would like this game . It was sooo monotonous but if you like this game you should love about any final fantasy . Also give star ocean a shot .

I dont really like the new final fantasy games it isnt turn based really.

There are other Final Fantasy games aside from 13. But, try any of the other Arms games on the other platforms. I dont know how related they are, but they both have "arms" in the name, so they might be....

What would really help though would be if you told us what you liked about the game. The battle system? The music? The environments? The story?

what i like is the leveling up system where you pick your stats and weapons it seems more advanced than other rpgs.

i also like it coz its turn based but i love the battle system

Okay, well if you liked the grid-based battle system, check out Disgaea 3 or maybe Front Mission 3. They're more strategy-based though. Dragon Age, Demons Souls, Oblivion, and Fallout have more in-depth character building than your typical rpg. But there aren't any games that I know of that have grid-based battle systems AND in depth stats. Final Fantasy Tactics on PSP maybe, if you have one.

it's basically where you have a bunch of people and there's like a grid and you take turns movin your characters around and attacking. I haven't actually played it, but that's what the screenshots are like.
