I'm having trouble following Reputation Comments

I can see what the reputation comment says, but I can't see who posted it. Is it supposed to be anonymous?

Yes, it's anonymous unless they feel like adding their names.

rep are supposed to be anonymous, but some people say it was them by either typing their name into the rep comment, or posting in the thread saying it was them.
