HD TV question

So I bought a 46" Sony Bravia and two HDMI cables one for the Tv and cable box and one for the tv and blu ray player. The one thats connected to the blu ray player works great but the one going to the tv and cable box isn't working its not the cable and our cable box is HD compatible is there something else I could be missing

Yes, you need to enable the HDMI output on the cable box. There should be something in the menu to switch it over.

Depends on the cable box though. The one I have in my house doesn't need to be switched to anything. I actually have component cables and an HDMI cable coming out of the cable box and going into the same tv. It works fine on both of the line in channels.

But in case it is the cable box and you're not sure, try calling your cable provider and see if they can help.

Just remember - HDMI is digital. This means that there either IS an output, or there's nothing. It could be you have to switch something on, or the HDMI slot might be bad in your box.
