View Full Version : How do you wind down for the night?

Playing video games is never a good way for me to wind down. They eventually start getting on my nerves if I play them too late into the night. Once I get to the "Well I could just play this all night and sleep in a little tomorrow morning" phase, that's when it's definitely bed time.

But aside from gaming until insanity, what are some ways you like to chill before counting sheep?

I like to settle down on the computer, check out forums, do the whole facebook thing, listen to a little relaxing music, maybe even have a glass of milk.

Mmmmmm. 'nite

There are many ways, video games are good, but like you said they get on the nerves and does more harm than good.

I sit in the dark listen to some youtube videos and next time i know im in bed sleeping like a baby.

I listen to symphonic classical, or jazz... and I have a certain person I can talk to who acts like a sedative and just relaxes me until I pass out.

Yeah, reading books is a good way to calm down. Especially something like Harry Potter; then you dream some pretty cool stuff.

I try to catch up on some shows from the past few days on my laptop. Doesn't happen every day but most nights I usually watch one thing before I go to bed. Last night, I watched an episode of Community before I went to bed. The night before, it was nothing. But on Friday I saw two episodes of "Conan" that I missed last week.

STARGATE!!!!^^

Books are another thing, I need time to read them (I'm a good reader, but exactly that's the problem, if the book is intersting, I need time to read until I don't want to for the day, that can take hours), to watch a episode of a series is my best thing to sleep in.

Playing Videogames is for me a reason to stay up, even late in the night. Because of that I don't play them at 11:00 PM in Monday-Thursday. Only in Holidays, no school next day and all that I play 'till in the late hours ;).

I discovered that having two bowls of cereal and peanut butter (with a wee bit of bread) is not a good way of winding down for the evening.... could not sleep for the life of me....
