Well since i got my new computer, IE my mom's Dell, Ive been having some issues with extreme situations of lag and other things that annoy me beyond all stuff.

So after no sleep, thanks to my friend punching me in my bad knee and giving me some pain killers with 85 plus mg of sugar I was up till 6 in the morning and he was helping me with my computer.

Well, he made it faster, a little bit, and over 51% of my hard drive was fragged. which was about 85gb.

Also there seems to have been alot of crap I thought I deleted back in the day but did not. So now im running a ccleaner to do a drive wipe and a defraggler. >.> CCleaner I keep starting and stopping because i keep thinking i set it to wipe my entire drive and not free space, and defraggler, well, it seems to be stuck on my system 32 files at the moment.

So i nthe end, why ive been having so much trouble with my computer was because their was too much crap on here >.>

The funny thing is this... Ive had this computer for not even a week troubles out the ass and my friend comes in does a few simple things, that I dont remember, and it starts to run better.

Looks like computers hate you a little. If the defragment finished, be sure to run it once a month or so to make sure. 51% fragmented is pretty enormous. The hard drive may not be very efficient so running it often should prevent you from having to spend a full day defragmenting everything.

It was weird I ran defrag a night or two ago and my defrag program told me before i started it I had 300GB of space left, after it told me I had only 1gb of space left >.>

oO. Run defrag again? Something could have messed up during the process. Just in case, back up any data you find important, in case the hard drive is failing.

I ran another defrag program, which ran several different cleaning options during its run. In the end I think it said i got .. 320gb and it cleaned up about 120gbs. So it leads me to believe that my other defrag was just screwy.

Glad it's better now. And it happens. Happened to my old old pc once.

Ya Im happy, now Im just waiting on my friend to come over and fix a few issues im having with "malware."

he gave me alot of programs to help with different things, recovery, deletion, etc etc and my computer is misclassifying it as viruses.

Anti-virus software tends to put out a LOT of false-positives on programs that aren't really viruses. Just gotta be careful to know if they actually do contain viruses or not, and if your program can take care of them without taking the program out.

when they started popping up as viruses my friend just told me to ignore them all and save them to the accepted program list, which I did. Now Google chrome is all screwy every time I open a new tab its like "you are going to a known site where malware is hosted."

Your friend probably delete some files and defrag the computer. Also you can terminate some programs in the taskmenu that are useless.
