The Elder Scrolls 5-Skyrim is now official

Yeah, that's right. Bethesda released a Trailer today that make THAT GAME FINALY OFFICIAL. After this long, long wait and the question on what Bethesda works since Fallout 3 (the secret project they told of after the release of Fallout 3) came to an end.

My opinion:
ALL HAIL THE ELDER SCROLLS 5-SKYRIM!!!

I spent far too much time on Oblivion, now Bethesda wants to steal more of my life, all I can say is great!

It would be nice if they dialed back the mountains a little.

And give me bookshelves, I'm tired of storing books in chests!

as for the mountains they just need to bring back the flying feature of morrow wind or was that the 100k jump skill spell you get near the start hahaha.

mind you, if you had that much mountain troubles you could of just made the super jump spell (if you didnt have the game patched or tampered etc)

I was so disappointed when I first played Oblivion and found out those spells weren't in the game.

but then, my roommate was like "lol no new game engine"
and then I was like "WAAAAAAAAAAT :O"

Elder scrolls V for the win! its on skyrim, i was hoping for a Morrowind Re-Creation, or whatever. still, Skyrim is perfect for its sequel, what will the plot be?

Please no Morrowind again, I really hated the fighting system and the boring world. It's detailed and all but it was for me very boring, in Oblivion was it different, the NPCs had an amazing AI and were able to entering houses ;).

Unless you're trying to get stats on how it compares against Dragon Age; not quite sure from your wording. But yes! If you are looking for engine info, try that link. If it doesn't give you what you want, then we'll see ;D

This news sure has me excited! I have enjoyed the Elder Scrolls series very much, and the release date for Skyrim is just in time for my birthday. A happy coincidence.

Why must it be so far away!!! Though the new game informer this month, the one with the main article on Skyrim, was pretty informational. It seems pretty intense if you ask me.

Also, i'm not entirely sure about the game engine, but the physics are supposed to be overhauled. ex. in snowy areas, its not just a texture, the snow actually will fall where it lands and stay there.

After reading the new game informer article on ESV Im pretty stoked about it as well. From what I can glean they are doing a lot of character animations. Fluid and varied character movement is really the biggest problem they had with the last engine. Playing any of the games with third person was painful.

But now, for example every weapon has a finishing flourish (I say this rather n finishing move because we dont know how the game controls handle this yet) depending on the weapon type and enemy type.

Also another huge thing is mobs have behaviors now. So even after they spot you, they may not be instantly aggressive. This is cool because in most games, every enemy ever runs strait at you attacking.

While I am a little surprised that we havent heard anything about an MMO I am very glad to hear another elder scrolls experience is on the way. Perhaps they are still setting up for an mmo, or maybe i was completely wrong with my theory, who knows.

oblivions full name was "the elder scrolls IV: oblivion" but every1 called it oblivion for obvious reasons

The game is supposed to be overhauled in the graphics department with it's new engine/ It's gonna be one of it's main focuses. Example: Snow won't just be a texture, it will actually fall in to place.

I reserved mine for xbox, and just in time because my hard drive on the 360 is pretty full.

I think he mean that his computer can play the game if it works for a xbox because then the graphics requiments arent to high.
