Give me your opinions. I've been meaning to buy it, however, I haven't even heard any reviews from the game, good or bad. So, if any of you have played it, how is it?

One word, amazing. The online is like nothing you have ever played. Should have probably reviewed that actually.

This.
Both of them are really good.

Meh, the multiplayer imo is essentially impossible to play right. In brotherhood there is very little to keep people from running strait to anyone foolish enough to try and blend in and offing them from range with a pistol, the fact that someone is hunting you just encourages them to run to keep ahead of that person.

I agree, the multiplayer isn't getting played properly by a lot of people. Everyone just running around, un-assassin like. As I've said in my review on my blog, I don't think the Online side of Brotherhood has been thought out well enough. They had the potential to make the Online side perfect, but I think they should have waited until the release of Assassins Creed III, so it gave them more time to work on it! The maps are alright, don't get me wrong; the base gameplay is all well and good, but it just hasn't got that longlife playability for me. It all seemed a bit... mashed together in the summer months, I presume.

Well that's why I play the manhunt mode. This actually requires people to hind and blend and be assassin like.

But you just encounter absolute cocks, who run about being an arse hole, acting like people with shotguns and little SMGs on CoD. Makes me want to trainwreck them.

Well no matter what game you're playing, thats gonna happen. The gaming world is not perfect i'm sorry to say.

Counter Strike: Source is though :D
As I've said some place else on the forum, that's the most balanced game I have come across in a long while!
<3 it!

You've said that like 5 times now, and i'm sure there is some squeaker or whiner or just some *** hole running around doing something he shouldn't be doing.

I can't help but to repeat myself on this particular topic of conversation, I just love CS:S, it's perfect!
You do get arse holes on it like, but the main problem is when they use voice chat, that's about it! If they suck, they suck, simple as that :)
Unfortunately, on CoD, if you suck, there is always an easy way out for you to pick a crappy weapon that's easy to use, and still get a good score, for spraying and praying.
There was always that essence of skill needed in CS:S with the weapons. Not to mention, you needed the cash to unlock the better weapons. I know in Blops it is the same now with the cash being given to you to get an unlock of your choice, but in CS:S, it depends on how good you are on that particular map, of course. Which brings me to say, that the cash rewards on CS:S are far more a better idea than the general cash rewards in Blops. At least you had to work for your weapons every map, instead of always having them unlocked.

Starting to get a wee bit off topic, so one last thought. Your're telling me that there are no cheap weapons in CS:S?

Well there are cheap weapons, but I mean cheap as in lame, easy to use weapons. Like the Skorpion on CoD, what a cheats gun. I actually just realised too that all of this is WAY off topic haha.

Assassin Creed Brotherhood is great game overall storyline is great its nice to actually play as dezmen, or however you spell his name, and its nice for a game of this caliber to have online play with is always fun to play, its always different and wont always be easy or hard.

You can pick Assassins Creed II up for like £9.99 here, so I think atm, that's like $10 or something, unless the exchange rate has changed for the better in the past month. Brotherhood will be not that much below the full price, seeing it's relatively a new game.

Probably between 12 and 15 bucks here, not quite sure.

And yes, it's different. I can't think of another game with this kind of online play really, it's new, creative. I give props to Ubisoft.

Have you been notified of you being handed control of the Assassin Guild, yet?
If not, you have to continue the storyline until you get to this point.
On the other hand, if you have been notified, you just go around the City of Rome until you come across the appropriate icon on the map for you to save a Citizen in distress.
When you save a Citizen, you then get that guy/gal in your guild, to join the cause! These guys/gals are dumb asses, as they pick a fight with like five guards, pfft.

Yet once they get to like level 5 and up, they can take on 5 guards.
Once you get them leveled up a little bit. They are amazing allies.

Haha, yes they do.
Like me, once you get them all to Assassin level, the game is so much easier.
But once you finish all the missions and stuff, it is sadly much more boring. Nothing to do at all really.

I know :(
Also, I was somewhat underwhelmed by the Romulus Armour, I didn't really like it :/ I mean, it's cool and all, but I was expecting something less... less tatty looking...

Ehhhh, ya I guess. It's ok. But it should have been much more, extravagant if you know what I mean. It's mot nearly as B.A. as I thought it would be.

Not at all bad ass, no. I actually preferred the high-end armour, before you get the Romulus set, it looked well more cool and it was more customisable! Ezio needs to look smart, tidy yet vicious... not like a fluffy wolf!

I wasn't notified of anything yet, as far as I know. All I did was the 3 factions quests that establish your alliances and right after the one to rescue Catherina.

Hmm... This is most odd then. I think If you just keep playing through, you should be ok. I can't remember what mission line specifically unlocks the guild... Maybe if you try complete all of the assassination contracts you get from the pidgeon coups?

Agreed. Should probably just top it all by saying "To this date there havent been a bad Assasins Creed game."
To OP, You should Definitely get AC: Brotherhood. :D

i thought the single player campaign was excellent, main missions, side missions, even the controls were slightly improved but the multiplayer for me was a big disappointment. it had so much potential but the maps were to small and the games were to short. they could have used half the city but instead opted for sandbox style games.

Are you kidding me, I think the multiplayer is amazing. Such a different style of game play, I mean for the first time ever really doing something like that, I'd say they did a damn good job.

02-24-2011, 03:23 PM
Im not exactly saying they did a bad job, i mean it as their first attempt at multiplayer for the game but based on the amount of space they had to play with it could have been better but thats just my opinion. the type of matches they have are good but i still think the maps are to small.

I feel like if they were any bigger it would completely ruin the game. I mean the point of the game is stealth and not that much running. With larger maps, this would completely be ruined in all aspects I think.

I was a big fan of this game. Although I didn't play it online, it was still pretty entertaining to play solo.
