Homefront looks so freaking epic!!

I cannot wait for it's release. If you watch this trailer, you will understand what they're integrating into this game. It's not just a mindless massacre shooter, there's thoughts behind it, causing moral confliction for the gamer. You could say it's a more in depth, louder version of what Fable makes you do, with it's moral decisions in the game, i.e Whether to kill someone you love, or save many people.

Indeed. They don't want it to be just a shooter game.
I have no idea of the release date, I think it may be still in TBA state.
It will be sometime this year though, for sure. Probably in Q1 of this year.

Definitely man. I hope the gameplay matches the hype though, I hate being let down by a game when it doesn't live up to what it was boasted up to be.

This looks interesting and new enough (if they live up to this) that I would actually want to play it, even though I typically dislike FPS games o.o

Hopefully they haven't polished it fully yet, with it probably being still in heavy beta stages. However, it is only a Youtube vid after all!

Hearing the word Crysis makes angels singing in my ears and there is a light on that game lol. I totally agree with you there that Crysis is not was, because it still is a awesome game:D:D

iv watched all the trailers so far and to me it seems like they have taken the concept of call of duty and battlefield bad company and combined the two to make one epic game. i just hope its not as much of a disappointment as Operation Flashpoint. that game was so hyped up and i coudnt wait to play it. bought it on the release day and it was traded in two hours later.

It definitely looks like they've took the best points of the top games and piled it into one, with actual emotion in the game play too. Win :) Not just a mindless, shoot-em-up campaign, but a campaign with emotion.

Flashpoint was so bad :(
I just kept hold of mine, never got round to trading it in.

yeah same here. im gonna wait till i see actual gameplay footage before i even consider buying it. there seems to buy only a few good games coming out this year. gears 3 and bad company 3 are the main ones for me. and thats just based on playing the previous games so hopefully homefront will bring it home.

I think you have your dates a little mixed up... Pokemon comes out the 6th of March, Homefront comes out the 15th.

omg, ever since i first saw a preview for this game on attack of the show, i have been so exited for this game. it looks awesome
also love that they are trying to make you care about other people more than "i have to save the hostages or i fail that part of the mission"
i just really hope this game isnt a let down. and i dont mean bad graphics, i could care less about the graphics as long as it doesnt interfere with the gameplay, i mean i hope its not extremely to hard/ easy, also hope everything is balanced right

I hope its more hide and ambush. A small and undiciplined force that consist of former civilians that have to make due with old weapons and makeshift tools against the mighty korean army. Missions to raid arms depoes to get better weapons and so on. That would be a interesting game.

I think it's exactly that mate. It's definitely about being the underdog to a believable extent.

They had some sort of demo in E3 but "normal" people couldnt play it.

Well, yeah. That's what E3, GDC, etc are for. The game devs give the press/game websites tech demos of their games. lol

I am rather disappointed by the texture detail on the models, or the lack of it!
Let's hope the game-play is great... I suppose it will have to be, really.

Very true, I was just generally speaking how most gamers see good graphics as gma great game. This is something I tend to do alot, thus making my buys not so smart and end up with a bad gaming experience. Like the Dead Island trailer, great graphics! So I immediately thought Epic game ! But then I remember Sniper ... And yeah made me snap out of it haha. So yeah I can't wait for reviews and other previews about the game!

I'm a graphical snob and own a gaming PC, so when I can have my Anti Aliasing and Anisotropic filtering up to x16, I will always think these graphics lack effort ;)

And your right to think that. I dont own a gaming pc i own an xbox and i had a ps3 before that. Tha graphics on alot of games are excellent but the developers are not using the the full potential of either console. Take infinity ward for example. they have been making C.O.D games for years and still the graphics are very blocky or pixelated. Then Turn 10 come out with forza motorsport 1, ghraphics were good, forza 2 graphics were better again and no console game available even comes close to forza 3 in any respects.
The graphics are top notch, no pixelation on round parts such as tires. The graphics engine used is amazing. the smallest adjustment in the tuning of the car affects the way the car handles, your tires ware down your fuel tank emptys and all this has an affect on the car. if more developers took this approach to games we would see some spectacular results.

It's Activision though, and they own everything as far as Call of Duty goes. They're not going to miss out on a year of sales if people will continue to buy the games as is.

Indeed they have.
However, the Xbox 360 is more powerful than first thought. As I've mentioned before somewhere on this forum, it has the potential processing power to allow games to look a hell of a lot better on the system, but they have each processing core concentrating on separate things... if they all shared the load, the Xbox would be so much better!

Indeed, though at this point it's more or less a problem with the dev's engines. Some games look absolutely amazing (FF13, Crysis 2, etc) while others just barely look passable.

Yup! I think there should be something official passed which states that all developers must have a graphics engine of a certain calibre; if this happens, at least games will all look respectable at the very least!
