I can't really think of a video, augh. Not much of the stuff I listen to is mainstream enough for people to produce vids. The Widdler has one old song that has a trippy as **** video, but it isn't really high enough quality for me to call it the best I've ever seen. Breakage has one or two songs that have videos and they're pretty okay.

before you call me gay until i die, just hear my story. so one day, the disney channel was on k, and i was kinda just sittin there, and the video came on, and i'm like "ugh not another song by them" but the video and the song together kinda gave me this feeling like i felt when i was a kid, and just the way it's made gives kind of a nostalgic and friendly vibe...i don't know how to explain it, but i thought it was a really well made video + song, considering who the artists are, and it just put me in a good mood and made me feel really relaxed and "at home"

Yeah but I don't see a valid reason as to why he didn't want to, when everyone else has made the effort to. It's clearly the trend in the thread to post the videos with your favourites. I was merely stating it would make everyone elses life easier if the videos were there, instead of giving people no choice but to search them in a separate window on Youtube. Well there is another choice, which is to not search for the videos themselves, which I guarantee will be a popular choice.

Don't be so defensive, I'm sure he can speak for himself ;)

EDIT: And there you have it, now we have a valid reason. Case closed.

There's a ****ing difference, and you need to realise that you were jumping the gun far too fast without properly analysing what I had posted. You were up far too quick to defend him, he can defend himself, and this is what happens when you do what you did.

How the video was made:

We approached Jon with the idea for arm-mounted cameras a few weeks before the show, and luckily he was up for it, so we broke out the power tools and set about making some mounts: After dissecting a couple of tripods and orthapaedic elbow supports, we had a solid platform for the miniature cameras.

We covered the gig with 5 cameras in total: 2 roving cameras, 1 static, and the 2 'lipstick' arm cameras that were wired into tape recorders at the back of the stage. The trickiest part was getting the cameras on and off Jon's arms whilst he continued to play as his set is more or less continuous..

The 'post production' on this video was unorthodox: All analogue and all in-camera.

We were really keen on making a gritty, abstract performance video. So we set to work with magnets, screwdrivers, VHS tapes and a host of other techniques: We made an initial edit and played this back through a £3 TV we picked up at the local market, and 'manipulating' it with a screwdriver allowed us to flutter and flicker the image on screen. We'd also bought an industrial strength magnet and used that to distort and twist the picture on itself. We made several runs through the track in this way before playing everything out to VHS (with obligatory stomping and scrunching).

This effectively gave us a new set of footage to make a tailored, grunged-up edit of the original piece.
