Ooooh what you studying?
Um 3 years.... Bourne Leisure is the Company - It runs Warner Leisure Hotels, Butlins and Haven. I work at Seaview Haven (there are 35 parks in the UK) it's like a family holiday resort where people stay in Chalets, caravans, tents etc! I love it! I started as a kids entertainer and photographer!

Oooh, cool. That is a pretty damn good effort to have worked your way that far in only 3 years. Go you :D

I'm doing what is essentially a senior high school equivalency :/

I see! I guess things work differently in Australia to UK as far as education goes?
Is there no specific subject you are studying?
And yeah I was really surprised! I won team member of the year last year so that was awesome!

I often wish that things worked the way they do in the UK here in the US. Maybe then more of our young people would be prepared for the workforce.

As for myself, I work at a local Credit Union, which is something similar to a bank, but with a lot less fees. I am a teller, but I am cross-training for the new accounts position. Hoping to officially get that promotion soon.

Dream job, believe it or not, would be as a pastor of a small local church.

Congrats! That's pretty effin' awesome!! :D

I work as a component processing technician in a lab at a blood center. It's actually a really good job and I don't see myself leaving it ever, so I guess I have my dream job. There's a lot of opportunities for me in the future though. I'd like to work up to be a trainer for new lab technicians.

Nope. I'm doing it at TAFE which is like further adult education. It's where you do trades and bridging courses and stuff. Because I didn't finish high school I'm doing this course to prepare me for uni. When I finish I'll get a rank, which is like a final leaving score, that will allow me to get into certain uni courses. Does that make any sense lol? It's hard to explain because it's so ****ing stupid -_-

Nice work :D

LysiaMoon
01-22-2011, 07:54 PM
No I totally understand! We do similar courses here!
What will you study at uni?
I did my college A levels but decided to go straight into
work rather than uni - I kinda wish I'd gone in a way but
I'm not doing too badly so its cool!

Sweet. I'm hopeless at explaining things lol. If I go to uni I'll do a bachelor of creative arts and secondary education so I can teach high school English. I still haven't decided if I want to though.

It sounds like you're doing better than not too badly :p

LysiaMoon

Wow that sounds excellent!! I'm sure you will do great too! English was one of my favourite subjects!
Haha well it pays for my computer games so I'm happy!!!

Congrats to you Lysia! =3
*hugs*

I don't work at the moment. I haven't worked for a few months now, but I'm sitting on a lot of money at the moment so I'm enjoying life and making use of my time away from working :)
So, I've been recording music and seeing how that goes; I'm working towards being an entertainments journalist/critic, preferably in the video gaming area! I have my own blog up at the minute to build up an online portfolio for evidence when I apply for a related job =] Also searching like a crazy person for an internship/work placement at a local paper or something, just to give me that foundation!!

Dream job: See the aforementioned :)
