Devil may cry movie rights bought

Screen gem got the rights to the movie. What is annoying me is they are trying to decide who will play Dante, yet they havent overcame the most important aspect of any game related movie. How are they going to make it not suck and actually follow a plot of the games? I will go see it no doubt but come on dont screw with the gaming community >.> and its all they do :(

Also isnt Jared Leto the lead singer of 30 seconds to mars? I heard he was a movie star but i wasnt entirely sure.

Some games I think to my self and say "WOW that would be a cool movie , Then they Screw that up. I mean Resident Evil could had been a really awesome and scary movie. But the messed it all up. Then there is games like DMC that I say...the only movie that would be cool to make out of this is just a CGI movie. I mean honestly the last good Video game Movie I ever saw was Silent Hill. that was a really good Movie I think.

He is a movie star indeed, he is a brilliant actor. He has been in movies such as Thin Red Line, American Psycho and Fight Club! Quite a few more too. He is both talented musically and in acting :)

I don't know, I don't think they could really... screw up a whole lot with this one. It's a pretty action packed game and didn't really have a... entirely deep storyline to it. It was basically just.. kill demons.

Personally I dont think that devil may cry suits as a movie. Would the movie be a 120 minutes of hack and slash and a love scene(Its a movie)

Actually it could work.... If it's like the anime (which has a lot of fighting, but also has a plot) it could work. But the plot to the games isn't.... well terribly long.

Im willing to bet that DMC4 will be the one to be made into a movie. Cause like Ilyich said hack and slash for 120 minutes and 4 has a story of saving the day, and the girl etc etc.

Ya, but god only knows what they are doing to this awesome series. Im taking gfp points right now that they will butcher it so bad none of us will pick up the new dmc coming out.

I pray they dont ruin this. I cant stand another Avatar failure (yes I know expecting ANYTHING good out of a Last Airbender live action is like expecting a bite from a King Cobra to feel good)
