Reading the article it sounds like a good set up for the second game but... At the end of the first one, for those who have beat it... Didnt he get consumed by the darkness and lost his life to it? I will still pick it up cause i did enjoy the gameplay of the first one but there are alot of questions they need to answer.

He did get taken over, but he didn't die, so they could easily explain away how he was able to regain control (after all, it takes place 2+ years after the events of the first.) Hell, even in the comics he had been taken over by the Darkness a couple of times.

Fail, the way they set up the ending his dead, cause how else would he spend a moment with jenny if he wasnt dead.. just saying

He's not dead, though. It's just an illusion made by the Darkness and Jackie's mind. I'm willing to bet that at some point, Jackie found a way to regain control (as he frequently transforms into the Darkness in the comics) and made a deal with it.

They should have set up the ending differently then cause how can you regain control if you believe fully you are dead? its like the part in inception where that dude and his wife were trapped inside their own minds for 50 years and when they figured out he was trapped he was able to escape, something like that. The scenes where he was sitting in the dark with that small light gives off the sense of he is dead and paying for his sins.

He doesn't believe he's fully dead, though, because he's not, it's a dream. All that happened was he went into a reclusive state within his own mind after the assault, in which each death Jackie caused, the Darkness grew stronger due to it's powers and Jackie essentially.. giving himself up to the Darkness in order to get revenge. >_> Shouldn't be confusing if you paid attention.

You do have more knowledge on the subject since youve read the comic
All i remember from the game is that that darkness ran in the family of jackie's and that his great uncle? was the first to get the darkness and that to stop the darkness you have to do something involving the light which i thought meant the sun. some more crap happens etc etc

So really for those who just played the game didnt read the comics they should explain everything that has happened between those two years and ya.

They probably will, it'd be prompting a huge disappointment if they didn't.
