I was reading something on Brink and saw that.. they are once again making a new Resident Evil movie. I think if anything, they should reboot the movies and follow the games more closely.

I thought Afterlife was great, and there was going to be an inevitable sequel, regarding the way Afterlife finished. It was a massive cliffhanger

The movies by themselves were good/alright but knowing what I do from the games, the movies kind of.. ruin it, they're not even close canon-wise.

See I can't really agree or disagree with you as I haven't ever been an avid follower of the games. I used to play the odd one, in no particular order though. The only one I have completed is Nemesis!

They need to reboot the series and get an actual director to do it, instead of Paul WS "worthless s***" Anderson. The movies were really bad, whether or not you played the games

Any zombie movie with Milla Jovovich cant be called horror, they are zombie slashing,bashing action movie. I havnt seen afterlife yet but Ive enjoyed the other movies.

And about following the games closer. A great game doesnt necesery means a good movie, the story isnt made for movies so I think that the movies should go one way and the games another.

And about following the games closer. A great game doesnt necesery means a good movie, the story isnt made for movies so I think that the movies should go one way and the games another.

That's the thing, though. The earlier Resident Evil games would make the perfect horror/zombie movie, akin to some of Romero's movies. The most recent (4, 5) would make a good plot, but the games themselves ruined the whole.. survival aspect of the series.

This. And that's what I don't like about the 2 newest ones. I have not played them, and i'm sure they're fun games, but I like Resident Evil to be a survival game. I was playing the gamecube remake one time at UB and some people came in and started watching and were like "i thought Resident evil was a shooter" and i'm like LOLno. I think he was drunk, or something, though, cuz after that he ran around saying "GUYS RESIDENT EVIL ISNT A ZOMBIE GAME"

the 1st movie was the best in regards to storyline and plot but the others wernt exactly bad. the only res game that would make a good film is the 1st game.

I'm completely obsessed with the games, but I'm actually glad the movies didn't follow the games closely. Thinking of them as a completely different story allows me to enjoy them even though the games are much better. That being said, I did enjoy all of the things Afterlife borrowed from RE5.

I've always loved the movies, and I'm alittle bitter sweet about the fact that the games dont really follow the movies.

I'm sweet, because it's something new, and unexpected, which is a big part of a video game...an expectable video game is a video game few will play. That's why everyone hates spoilers people!!!

I'm bitter, because it's not the movies! Resident Evil are awesome movies, and who doesnt wanna play those scenarios yourself? The movies would make for wonderful video games! Some I'd even say could be portrayed beautifully in an MMORPG!

MMORPGs are argueably the BIGGEST and best idea in the gaming world so far! I mean you could take almost ANY game, and it would have the properties to become an MMORPG! It's all just about how to get the wheels turning, cause with an MMORPG, once the wheels turn, its hard to stop them completely again!

I love MMORPGs, but i can't afford pay to play, unfortunately. If I could I'd spend every minute of free time on WoW and Star Wars: The Old Republic

Be glad you cant...I wasted 6 years of my life playing WoW for 16/24 hours -.- MMORPGs are damned fun, but addicting as hell.

same goes for WoW, that game is so damned addicting you have NO idea -.- I knew I was addicted when I one day ABSOLUTELY did NOT! feel like playing WoW, yet I log on at 9pm and I find myself logging off at 5am....

Here's some advice from a regretful WoW veteran, brah, spend your money on something more worth while, WoW just takes your money and your soul and gives you raids and gold to fill the voids.

Bioware seriously needs to change its appeal alittle. It has a mediocre fan base, but once those fans find different games to play when Bioware runs out of idea(which they're already close to), then Bioware will be lost even to the history books.

Accually I liked bot DAO and ME2. They are trying to make this as the knights of the old republic.

some say that they are proud of the voice acting in the game but not for so much else because EA(I think) is rushing them like they rushed warhammer online.

Also, Its a star wars game so lucasarts will have a large degree of control. They never just hand a game over and say "go for it"
