Hey Guys and Girls!

I just viewed the newest gameplay trailer for OF: Red River... and I wasn't at all surprised to find out that the trailer for the new title failed to tingle my nether-regions.

Anyway, you can find my take on Red River on my blog: Games Reviews And Random Banter, It's Full Of Win! (http://jayhmmz.blogspot.com)

But I'd like it if we could start a debate about it right here on GF!
Go read, and report back to me :)
First one back gets a unicorn!
It's a nice bite-sized post, too.

Well, I dont really know if I like the more call of duty style. I like the semi realisitc gamestyle some games have. Arma2 tried but have been pinned down by massive troubles. I think that the campaign wasnt as good as I hoped for in opfdr but they should have released more patches and downloadables.

yay Im first!

Yeah +1 on the lack of patches in DR, it's a pity they didn't focus on it more.

And about patches, do you now in a rough how many patche they have released, (arma2 has over 7 big patches but then again there was lots of things to patch)

I think they only released a total of two patches... fail.

What do you think of bohemia(arma2) and codemasters worked together to make the ultimate warsim. Codemasters make good games and good graphics and bohemia excel in making modding tools, realisic gameplay and patching the game.

ArmA:II didn't really grab me, at all. I played all of two hours on the game, and just couldn't get into it. I didn't like the controls, nor did I like the graphics. (Even though they were respectable, I'm still a graphics snob/perfectionist)

I saw Arma2 more like a modding platform than an accual game. If you bought the game for the campaign you will,WILL get dissapointed but the modding things are huge if you got little skills in that, I wich sucks at modding and programming even found the editor easyhandled. Thats why I wanted codemasters to make the "true" sequel, with some help of bohemia to operation flashpoint.

The first OFP was indeed great, i think i used 300h+ in the editor alone. Made about 50-60 Heavily scripted missions.

Truly loved that game.
And i hope they will make a proper sequel to it with a properly integrated mission editor. (No i dont consider Arma series a proper sequel even though i still love those aswell.)
Also, if you didnt like to use the editor in OFP1, it still featured a great singleplayer campaign.
