I'm doing a speech on the loch ness monster tomorrow, and in spirit of that, I figured i'd ask this question
Which creature appeals to you more? The Loch Ness Monster, or Bigfoot/Sasquatch? Also, general discussion on either/both of them, as well as other supposed creatures (ogopogo, chupacabra, yeti, etc)

Supposedly, that picture has been revealed to be a piece of plastic wood mounted on top of a toy submarine, but some people think the confession is a hoax. Personally, I hate when pics like this are "explained" because it kinda ruins the mystery surrounding them. Anyways, I just chose the most famous photo "of" each monster.

I must choose the slick and beatutiul nessie before a big hairy giant.

Nessie is a far better mystery. Big-foot is just a gorilla looking thing, where as Nessie looks like a dinosaur/is a dinosaur!

Dear god please, PLEASE, get up in front of your class or whatever and say this:
Last week, Japanese scientists explaced... placed explosive detonators at the bottom of Lake Loch Ness to blow Nessie out of the water. Sir Cort Godfrey of the Nessie Alliance summoned the help of Scotland's local wizards to cast a protective spell over the lake and its local residents and all those who seek for the peaceful existence of our underwater ally.

I thought about saying that, but ultimately decided not to. I was originally going to do bigfoot and open it with a mitch hedberg joke. "I think Bigfoot IS blurry. It's not the photographer's fault, bigfoot is blurry. and that's extra scary to me, because there is a big, out of focus monster running around the countryside. watch out, he's fuzzy! you got to go..." But loch ness turned out to be easier.

Why does always pictures of mysterious creatures and aliens always get blurry. We got very good cameras and photographers, so why is it always sucky photos? Why cant we see big foot, lochness and ghosts in hd definition.

Well, these legendary creatures' photographs were taken quite a long time ago, when such modern technology wasn't available. You have to bare in mind as well, that these pictures above, are just segments of the actual picture. The original picture was much bigger, so it's had to be cropped and zoomed on the subject, thus losing quality.

Nessie is cooler and would sort of make sense, anyway. There's tons of crazy creatures under the water that we don't even know about...

This. Bigfoot's just some ape-human hybrid of some sort. Nessie's supposed to be a freaking Plesiosaur! (or at least a distant cousin to it.)

Nessie Nessie Nessie!!!!!

Well, the thing is, Nessie has a lot more evidence against it than Bigfoot does. Bigfoot is just an ape creature species that isn't discovered yet, which seems a lot more realistic than a lone dinosaur living in a freezing cold lake and hardly ever making itself seen for 65 million years.

Bigfoot of course. Nessie is a creature from Dinosaur age. Pretty impossible, its still alive up till now.

Bigfoot is probably just a gorilla from zoo which have run away(and evolved)

That's pretty good thinking. But still, bigfoot have been witnessed since more than 500 years ago (there is no zoo and that period). Could be its evolved in the wood.

The Coelacanth (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coelacanth) would like to speak with you >:|
but yeah, it's more unlikely since it's supposed to live in a lake.

If my children were Nessie and Bigfoot, and they were held at gunpoint, and I had to choose one, I would say,
"Please, unknown monster napper, take me, for these monster are my children, don't ask how, but they are, and even though Nessie is the bestest...er, I would like them both to be found and discovered in all their great glory.

well i'm just saying like...bigfoot sightings from like 500 years ago is probably a different creature than sightings from today. it COULD be a large gorilla escaped from a zoo or something these days, even if it wasn't back ages ago.
