Is there a way to reset the "unread posts since your last visit" back to 0?

Yes! at the bottom of the forum you will see a button that says "Mark Forums Read"

"Senior gamer" is a title that changes with post counts - there's a list somewhere for what they are and at what post counts they change at, but I can't be bothered to look right now ;P

Unless people get custom user titles (like mine) then it will change along with post count.

This I understand. But how does the "rookie" or "user" status apply? It's obviously a different system. I can see where your "moderator" title comes from, but are these labels we can grow out of and into as well?

The title based on post count are permanent, but the user bars are given out based on activity and such.

We have different user groups (separate from the title there) which are "Rookie," "Member," and "Veteran" (also Moderators, but yeah). The moderators/admin can change your user group, and members of the different groups have access to other parts of the forum. We decide if people should be recognized for their contributions to the forum by moving them up a rank or so every so often :)
