Ty :)
I just watched a video review on IGN, in regards to Crysis 2.
They gave it a 9.0 out of 10! They said that the only bad point was that the frame-rate isn't smooth on consoles.. well it's a good job I'm getting it for PC then ;) Muhuhuhaha! My beast is licking it's lips at the prospect of having me play this!
I was able to run Crysis on full graphics with max resolution, accompanied with AA and AF on x8. Crysis 2 is reportedly better than Crysis, in terms of texture processing and such; it's been reported that it's more efficient, and will run as smooth as the original Crysis, even though there's been a boost in visuals :D
Clever Crytek and their Cryengine.
*boner*
Graphic word, but it's the only way to describe the excitement.

I might add that if you buy it at Target (for XBOX360 or PS3) they also give you a $10 giftcard. So the game really only cost me $49.99. At least at the Target's in the US. :)

Yay, Steam came though for me and bent the rules on their return policy on an order including Crysis2 so now I have to re buy it for PC.
And on a sad note, I tried to surplant fraps photos into the steam uploader with fake names (about 6 games where I went 15+ and 0 ) and it deleted those screenshots. So no braggin rights for me. =(

I've been reading a lot of reviews today, about fifteen to be exact.. and they all seem to be consistent in regards to the negatives, worrying negatives too.
Apparently the graphics are actually worse than the original Crysis game, the AI "suck", the Campaign is short and the Nano Suit is weak..
I'm gunna hold off buying it now I think until I get more second opinions, as I was an avid fan of both Crysis and Crysis: Warhead on the PC, and I will accept NOTHING less than it being better than both of those games on all fronts, as a few years have passed.
My friend told me he played the Crysis 2 PC beta when it was leaked, and he said the graphics were awesome.. but he fears that they might have dulled them down a bit for release so they don't stress people's PCs too much, to make it more playable for a wide variety of gamers.
I FRIGGING HOPE NOT.
Someone who has Crysis 2 for the PC, please enlighten me!

the demo was a quick port from the 360, and even included auto aim. =P
The actual PC version would be different. If there are significant improvements I can see how they might task a computer more.

Read what I said though. It's disappointing a lot of PC gamers, because apparently the graphics aren't any better (the original Crysis graphics are better, if anything), the AI suck on the PC and the campaign length all round is disappointing.
It just shows you what a bad influence the console has on games in general. If Crysis is better than Crysis 2, then it puts the theory in concrete.

If i read everything you said before I posted I would have to respond fully and that takes time. =P
Look, speculations aside
- "The Nano Suit is weak" is not a coherent argument
- weak AI is prevalent in most games
- its calibrated to run on more computers so the default graphics just might not be set as high as they should be. (likely considering the console version)
Actually, I could care less about graphics, but if thats something that bothers you I played the demo and the games looks great. I am willing to bet money that considering its the same engine and the same team making the game as the first one that the objects and textures are the same at minimum. No one goes out to make a worse looking game when they have a good base to build off.
Anyways, they multiplayer gameplay is what interests me. And as soon as Im finished downloading the game (says another hour) I will let you know if its better or worse than the demo. =P

About the graphics maybe its just that in crysis you were in a forest and now its a city almost without trees, maybe its more lifefull in a jungle than in a city.
Its easier to say that its better graphics if everything is moving in the wind, like trees other than static buildings.

The thing I'm worried about though, is that the original Crysis release a few years ago had a great nano suit, intelligent AI and intense graphics.. So I won't be happy if everything is dulled down on all fronts, just because of a stupid majority console port. URGH. Consoles ruin a lot of games that originated on the PC, just to get money.

Is this game worth buying? Are you just pointing out the flaws of the game, or is it a bad one? I had the feeling that Crysis 2 will not be as good as the original, but I never thought that it'll be a bad game. How bad is the AI? Is it bad at certain points only, or is it bad all the way? And do you have to spend a whole clip on an enemy's face in order to kill it? And what about the story? Is it in any way as good as the one in the original? And are both stories related to each other? Sorry if I sound like an annoying journalist, but I really wanna know if I should buy this game. Which one should I get, this one or Bulletstorm? Which one has a better multiplayer and a longer campaign?
Thanks.
Ive wanted Crysis 2 for my PC, but the more I see it the more I know for a fact that my Radeon 4350 will NOT run it too well...
Maybe once I custom build my Alienware Aurora I might be able to run it, but for now I'd just cause great missery to myself to have it on my desk and not being able to play it...

I hope for your own sake, that your rig is strong enough to run it =(
Can You Run It (http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/) says that my rig only has like 1/4 of an inch on the performance meter if running Crysis 2 =S I guess my graphics card is alittle out dated, as it claims, but you really need some badass stuff to run that game efficiently enough to not get killed by the most badass gamer of all.
LAG!

Indeed it is :)
It's why I got it for the PC and not the Xbox. I can have it on the 'Extreme' setting @ 1440x900 max, and I hardly get any frame-rate lag. Win.
Let me tell you, the graphics and the gameplay are astounding.

I wouldn't trust Can You Run It. It's.. pretty crap. It's said I couldn't play plenty of games I can play on max settings.

So Uh, I am working up a review but this is a uh very quick gameplay preview, Just hard to always be recording at the right time so its pretty short.

Crysis 2 is AMAZING, Great graphics and the whole game is one big EPIC Ride, but it does have a lot of bugs atleast in the ps3 Version. My friend has comfirmed to me that these are also common problems he has ,.
-gun will not shoot
- gun will dissipate
- sound effects will loop once you pause the game
- Texture will load to late
but other then that i love it , I have only made it to the part where you are outside the big alien ship on the ground but so far I am not upset with this game at all. and it keeps me saying to myself the whole time
"THIS GAME LOOKS SO AMAZING"
and yeah thats my take on Crysis 2 so far

Just checked with canyourunit?, Im pleased to say that the bar went to max on Crysis 2. God, I cant wait untill i get my paycheck. Im soo going to get this then :)
I know that CURI can be somewhat buggy at times, but its deffinately the 'most' reliable(virus wise) system spec scanner out there. For example it claims that I can play DAO without any problems whatsoever, and thats true, I play DAO flawlessly at ultra graphics, while Fallout 3 says that I'm half way between minimum and recommended, which is true, I play with somewhat low graphics on FO3 or I go completely lagzerg.
But it also says that I can play Crysis warhead or whatever its called on top graphics, but from watching youtube movies I highly highly doubt that.
So it really gives you an 'estimate' for it, you might be surprised and find the game the CURI claimed was gonna be a lagfest, to run smoothly on high graphics, while games that it says will run smoothly, will run like a lagfest, its very much hit or miss.

It at one point said I could play Crysis Warhead on my old computer, but not the original, which I could play on moderate settings. It also said I could barely play Starcraft 2 because of my graphics card and ram, and I could play it at all but ubermax settings.

Don't buy all the crap Can You Run It gives you. It told me that I won't be able to play Homefront and Bulletstorm on maximum details, but I can and I'm currently playing them on maximum quality without getting any lag at all. So make sure to check it out yourself before letting Can You Run It make the decision for you.
But a really good thing is, that Can You Run It says that my PC is powerful enough to play Crysis 2 on maximum details, so that's awesome. I'll buy Crysis 2 sometime real soon. :D
