Fonts for Photoshop...

As you can see, I made a new signature graphic this afternoon, using one of my favourite Everton players as the theme!

However.. it just didn't look good once I had finished it (as you can see) as I was just selecting a font from the default selection.. don't get me wrong, there are a lot of nice fonts, but not for custom made signatures.

I was wondering where you get cool fonts from, like, ragged looking ones.. I see so many good looking ones about, on other people's work, and I get jealous :P

In short, I just generally need help with how to make fonts look better!!

Google 1001 free fonts. I get mine from there. And I make my own 3D ones if you want any 3D stuff, just check out my sig entry for SOTW

I am not a huge sports fan, so the theme is deffinately not a favored of mine XD

But the work you did on it? Very nicely done, my only issue is that the picture behind the effects in the sig is alittle pixelated, it might be that its supposed to be that way, I dunno, it just looks grainy.

Other than that, A++ for fantastic sig! :D

It's meant to look pixelated ^_^ I bumped the sharpness up quite a bit to give it a fizzing effect :)

Looks great man, and I might be the only one, but I like the pixelated one better :P Kinda has a stitched jersey lettering look, which goes well with the theme and gritty background elements. Both are nice though.

The first one I did, wasn't meant to have the pixelated text :D that was by accident! But I wanted that font because it was a sporty theme.. but I found a font that matched word 'fantastic' anyway :)

I learned everything I did from entering SOTW.... lol. I would see something I liked, ask how they did it, and then try to do it myself... lol. I still kinda suck, but I'm a TON better than I was when I first started... lol.
