Don't post about illegal content on the forum, please - we don't allow links at all until you reach 10 posts and have been a member for at least 24 hours, and we don't allow links to anything about modifying video games.

A trainer isn't necessarily illegal?..... A trainer is just a tool for people that are to lazy to do stuff for them self's and for more offline games like rainbow six it barely breaks any rules because it only changes a few things on Que and also since online play is restricted to client sided play you cant really use it for online stuffff... unlike mods which changes/adds/deletes official game content.
unless Iv missed something in my Rss feeds im still talking about the same thing ^_^;
But Benny9101 there are other forums for posting this sorta stuff (But Im not gonna tell you here Cause im not here to advertise or convert members mwhahaha) and and also you should comment on other threads to get your posts high enough to post links :) instead of posting a blank thread :)

From what I read, it seems like they're usually used for cheats and it's memory editing, and could be used for a lot of things that aren't really "legal" - so I just want to be safe ^^
I don't know what his intent with it is, but we don't really allow things like this. Technically any modification of a game is illegal (unless the developers allow it in certain cases).
Bla bla bla, yet another spammer.

No, not really. He actually seemed rather nice, and just didn't know the rules, and perhaps what he is talking about is harmless. He didn't even post a link.
What are you serious?
Changing EXE values are illegal?

Na but some times it breaks the T&Cs of the game

Haha I always carry around C***t En**ne just in case I find a flash game that I cant seem to get enough money in :) but no I don't think trainers or things that only edit the working game are illegal it is the modding part. :) and benny9101 was viewing this thread not so long ago so I doubt he would be a spammer
I had a couple of trainers for MechQuest and games like that.
It was awesome to say the least.

Yeah, most game developers can be harsh about modding any aspect of their games - even if it's just graphical, which doesn't even seem like it should be a big deal. But they care, a lot of times.
In any case, if there's any question about the sketchiness of it, I'd rather not have posts about it - especially on a member's first post. We don't know what he was using this for, and they CAN be used to enable cheats (which are definitely not cool). You have no idea what the content is for, and he didn't reply that it was legal and harmless...
