Do any of you currently commute? I feel like i'm not being...."college-y" enough. First semester was very college-y, but now I feel like it's just high school but i'm only there for like 3 hours a day instead of 7. How do I make living at home more college-y?

I know College has a different definition and experience over here in the UK, because we have to commute to College, period.
To make it feel like a College experience though, I took part in a lot of sports groups, I was in a band and I partied a hell of a lot! It was a significant difference from High School, and I tag it as a good College experience :)

@jayhmmz: oh man, dorming is my favorite part, as long as the dorm isn't a piece of crap. But dorming allows you to have a college experience when ur not in class, and it lets you stay connected to what's going on yknow.

I commute. If you wanna stay connected just join clubs or do a ton of activities on campus.
I commuted. Joined clubs, went to sports events, frat parties, and mixers. Lol.

I don't know. Lmao. I just don't view it as anything special that has to have it's own feeling. It's just more school. I'm burnt out on it.

well that's cuz you haven't had the full college experience. at UB i was like "oh screw class i'm done with this" but it was actually made fun by all of the cool people there, and the dorming and stuff. JCC is like a frozen hamburger compared to the gourmet meal that was dorming at UB haha. and then second year at UB was like....the chef quit right when you arrive so some noob tried to cook your food and it was crappy, but you see everybody else eating delicious meals made by the chef before he quit.

lol well, i'm talking about the things that go with college other than school work. like dorming, and parties, and all the other stuff that you don't seem like you'd be into haha.
School....
Might sound crazy, but I cant wait to go back to it....

My college experience isn't very 'college-y' either. But you don't have to go to ragers to have fun :P
During my early high school years I hit up every party I could, I kinda felt like I was supposed to.. But these days, I'm not really the party type, I very rarely drink, and my best buds go to different schools, so apart from studies college plays no other role in my life. I prefer to hang out and actually do something with my buds. Sitting around getting ****faced with a bunch of people I don't know and don't really care to get to know doesn't appeal to me :--)

I like feeling like i'm in college. You're only in college for a limited amount of time, so I want it to be as college-y as possible while i'm still in it.
