Role Playing section???

This might just be me being my good old wierd self, but I think I'm not alone when I say that I love Roleplaying!!!

I was wondering why we don't have an RP section on the forums? With main forums, sub forums etc. where you could have RP topics such as:

WoW
Starcraft
Mass Effect
Dragon Age
Battlefield

etc. Any game that might be eligible to be roleplayed! :D

You could even put the dot over the i by making a character creation section, where people can write out what characters the use in which world(only 1 per person in each of course!). To me this would be so cool! And add yet another interesting thread to frequent often! :)

We had a section like that for almost 2 years, it failed - we removed that board.

RP isn't very popular on this forum. When we opened up the board, we had a ton of people show interest and that slowly dissipated.

Yeah, a few people have tried to set up RP threads before, but no one is ever really interested in it...

That sucks for me then I guess :( I frequent RP sections alot.

I had a ton of posts on the Aion online forums for example, and I swear that over half of them were made on the RP section -.- O well, can't force people to like it so I'll just be glad with what I have :cheesy:

I for one would love an Role Playing section and would try to spark interest/manage that section myself.

Of course an RP section would require 3 sub forums
-Development and Discussion
-Characters
-Roleplay itself

Ohh, oh. That's simple!

3 Categories. A, B, & C

Each Category gets 30 points. You get to put these in whatever system you want. Doesn't truly matter. You can edit however you'd like to fit the character the best.

0 = Standard human.

Every character starts on Rank I with 30 points in each Category.
To progress, you must take on missions, gain gold, and purchase the sequential Ranks.
The sheet has been preset to 10/30. You can edit that however you desire. It is set to Balance.

Category A is Ability Type. This puts into question what your character's high points are at to low points. Are you a Ravager, where all of your points are pushed into Stamina and Speed? An Aggressor, where all of your points are Strength and Speed? A Sentinel, where all of your points are Strength and Stamina? The choice is up to you, but a Balanced System has been set into place for you.

Category B is Ability Status. This questions what your character's skill is revolving around. Physical attacks: melee, hand-to-hand, swordsmanship, and others alike. Magical attacks are spell-casters. And Mental is Thinkers -- more Willpower and Psionics.

Category C is Ability Range. The distance that you're best or most comfortable in.
Close range is more like melee and hand-to-hand combat, that sort of thing. That falls into the Body Range or 0 meters to 5 meters range (0 - 16.5 feet).
Mid Range is outside of that zone -- spell casting and keeping your enemies away from your person at 5 meters to 10 meters (16.5 feet to 33 feet).
Long range could be consider a spell-casters range, a psionicist or willpower range, and even long distance weapons (bows, javelins, slings, guns) at 10 meters to 15 meters (33 feet to 49.5 feet).

Power Level: 90

Category A -- Ability Type

Rank VI | Physical | 10
Rank VI | Magical | 10

oh okay so if i wanted 15 speed but 5 stamina i could do that as long as its up to 30? last time i read them i was tired and didnt quite get it. now it makes more sence.

Well yeah -- if you had 15 spd and 5 sta, you'd still have 10 points left over for Category A.

- Spd: 15
- Sta: 05
- Str: 00
