Soooo, those that were playin Minecraft tonight know I bolted shortly after loggin in. Dunno how readable my typing was, but this is why:

It happened all the time at my grandparents' old farm. They had a tree swarming with them, which is where I probably developed my fear...

I think baby bats have a certain cuteness to them, but the adults....

Hahaha. They're tough to catch for sure; Fast lil bastards, and their flying is so chaotic.


UPDATE: We looked everywhere but it's nowhere to be found :|. I'm certain it's still somewhere in the house but wherever it went, it's found a damn good hiding spot. Probably some place dark. Waiting for nightfall to attack me again.

I havent had a bat in our house but in an old house we own they live in teh walls. They making noises and scrathing, sometimes they get inside the house to.

Either way, if I was playing minecraft and all of a sudden had a bat flying around in my room I'd probably also startle XD But bats are not scary, they're just like birds, they just happen to look like a rodent :p

By the way did you guys know that Bats are actually a genetic strand all their own? They are not closely related on a genetic level to any other creatures on the planet.

Probably makes religious fanatics believe they serve the devil or something

But yeah, bats are awesome to me, never gotten scared of them :) Want 1 as a pet actually, they're quite tameable, can teach them to catch stuff you throw n such!

I actually had a friend who had a bat as a pet, he had no cage no nothing, he could even have his windows open and his bat would fly out and come back like clockwork every evening. And if he threw a bat treat into the air his bat would snatch it out of mid air. It was so awesome!!

I think it was named Robin? Pretty fitting huh!?

Edit: Forgot to update: My house is batfreeeee!! Trapped it under a broom and put a bucket on top of it. Walked it to the door and it flew out :D

That is pretty awesome actually. I'd keep my distance but I imagine they'd be pretty interesting pets.
