Im really confused about what is going on but my HDPVR stopped working together. Out of no where I turned it on wanting to play some black ops and it tells me the USB malfunctioned and could not be recongized. I tried hooking it up to another computer, my mom's, and it still wont work. So ive concluded that the machine is screwed up but my overall question is wtf caused it to screw up? I didnt misuse it or anything, its just really random it broke out of no where.
Anyone have any suggestions on what happened
I plugged in my Ipod and it works fine so its not the usb ports themselves.

Best explanation is that the hardware had something wrong already so it was bound to fail. One of my old headsets did that. Brand new, used it 2 weeks, and suddenly, USB couldn't be recognized. I took my PC apart thinking something came loose like an idiot (I didn't even think to try another PC or another USB port).
But it happens. Can you return it for a replacement?

I think I can, they have a 2 year limited warrant from the date of purchase which replaces it if its defected and what not, but since it was given to me as a gift im not sure if it applies to me or not. I would think it would but again im not sure. Called Tech support left my information so im waiting on a phone call this morning to see what can be done
This is a 200 dollar piece of equipment and it is kinda poopy that out of no where it crashes. Maybe I got one of the unlucky ones... I hope it doesnt happen again if I can get a replacement

Manufacturer's warranty goes with the item (most of the time) so you should be fine.
