Am I the only one that finds it odd that the center for disease control (CDC) released information on how to stay safe in case of a Zombie invasion?
CDC EPR | Social Media | Preparedness 101: Zombie Apocalypse - Blog (http://emergency.cdc.gov/socialmedia/zombies_blog.asp)
I'm not at all worried in case of a zombie apocalypse.
I have my trusty zombie combat manual (http://www.amazon.com/Zombie-Combat-Manual-Fighting-Living/dp/0425232549), and I'm never 2 feet away from my super sharp 3 feet long machete. :p No seriously I have a machete next to my computer in case of a break in late at night...
On a more serious note:
Fake.

I think its more of a joke because CDC doesnt understand our generation and why we are crazy over zombies. They use science and im pretty sure figured out long ago that zombies cannot occur. Government released a document on zombie preparedness, it was a joke.

Either way it seems out of place for the CDC to joke about it. I mean I get it isn't meant to be taken seriously but really?

There is a scenario and plan for everything, including one set up by the UN regarding alien invasion.
I swear I once saw a plan in the case in the US is completely obliterated by Nuclear warheads(think fallout), and the government collapses and anarchy ensues etc. etc.

There are reports created by some of the top minds of the US government that plan out different situations they are called NPS, National Planning scenarios if the government creates a zombie NPS than they are taking it very very seriously.

Well at least they think ahead? Next we will find out the government made zombies on accident.
What ZXD said, I bet that they have some secret government lab where they're testing if zombies are possible.
And the carnage starts when a vial breaks and all the scientists carry the infection and they all turn and kill everyone etc. etc.
Resident Evil just got real, dude.

Not to be that guy, though I'm sure there's been tests to see if it's possible... there's no possible way for Romero/28 Days(Weeks) Later/Resident Evil-style zombies to exist. A virus in and of itself wouldn't be able to control a body with non-functioning tissue, organs, etc. Especially not without a brain.
Well Ilyich thats why zombies' weak spot is their brain :p you could rip their heart out and they couldnt care, but blow their bwainz out and they sink to the floor like the corpse they are.

If its like the walking dead, there the disease is some sort of parasite that live in teh brain stem. They only use the body as a shell. There are parasites that can control their host but it havent been found with working in humans.
I dont think personally that zombie
By no means do I believe in zombification, but I wouldn't want to be caught off guard just in case.
My common sense is a firewall against reality of zombies thinking, but I always have that little guy in the back of my head that represents the "zombies are real!" side of my head. IF there somehow should be a way for a parasite to control a dead human corpse, and use it intelligently enough to steer towards living humans, bite them, get the parasite eggs into them, have the eggs kill them by clogging their heart or something, hatch in the heart, go to the brain and reanimate the body...If that should somehow, someday be reality? I'm ready for it.
