I was thinking, would it be possible to set up a clock on this forum.
Just so if we want to make plans with other forum members, we can use the forum clock as a standard. :)
Its a bit annoying to have to find out a persons location, then figure out the locations time zone and then add/substract hours based on you're own timezone.
So it would change from this;
"Sure we can play, im available at 17:00 UTC -05:00, Does that work for you?"
To this:
"Sure we can play, im available at 20:00 Forum Time, does that work for you?"
Thoughts? :)

I'd say wherever the server's based, but I don't know where that is. If we're doing Linux's time it'd be Eastern (-5 GMT I think?)

Yeah, it's eastern. And it's -4GMT right now I think, from daylight savings and all.

Just go with where the server is based. Dosent really matter what timezone its set to as long as we all have a standard to easily refer to when we are setting up plans. :)

This would be a pretty sweet idea, actually. But should be server based time zone, or just 0GMT, like what all our time is based around

this would also be helpful to know when your bank interest is going to hit because it's added at midnight server time.
Okay, that's not really that important but I really like the GFP banks.

why not just use military time?
if you mean "military time" as in the 24-hour clock, that changes depending on the time zone, too
but if you mean how they use GMT, that also has already been offered up? o-o
