Star Wars: The Old Republic beta

I have been informed by EA today that Beta testing opportunities are still available for Star Wars: The Old Republic!

I jumped right on it, as I forgot to sign myself up previously, and thought it was too far gone; apparently not, yay! :)

I applied a beta request about 1 year ago. Still nothing. My request got bugged or they just forget about me. Every time when I log in I see that my request is still up. So I'm so sad :(

I don't think it got bugged, it's just *really* hard to get into beta :( I've got my fingers crossed for you! :)


Lemme know how it is. I'm real excited for this game. I've got a couple of people waiting to play. I'm real excite for it.

It's *awesome* O_O So.many.things.I.wanna.tell.and.can't. lol I mean, honestly.... I dont think it's gonna be another WoW, but so far it's really fun. The main thing Im worried about is end game content. I mean, any MMO in it's first year is spent working on balancing and de-bugging and whatnot, so I don't expect end game to be great at first... Im just not confident there's going be a whole lot they can do with it. *shrugs*

I'm gonna try to apply another request for beta. I hope this one will be more succesful :P. And also I hope they gonna do a great end-game :P. Maybe something like WoW-like PvE :P I think that would be great. :)

So, who's ready for The Old Republic testing this weekend? I received my Beta code, and I have the client fully patched and installed, ready for testing :)

I'm pretty damn excited, for I have high hopes for SWTOR coming close to how awesome vanilla WoW was, maybe even just as awesome. Here's hoping!

Yay, Im ready for stress testing this weekend too! :D 2nd beta so far for me for ToR.... I can't honestly say that I have *high* hopes for this game because there are 2 things Im not expecting to be great right away: end game and PvP. But regardless Im still really excited to check it out. Hopefully this game will be a product of all past Lucas games where he's taken all the things that have been great in past SW games and kept them and all the things that have been crappy and fixed or gotten rid of them.

It went really well actually. The only complaint I have is that there are a tonnnn of cenematics, which is cool at first, but I think it will get annoying quickly lol Beta started this morning -didya check it out yet? :)

I thought it was awesome. It's definitely got a chance of being a WoW killer. The first instance I played in The Old Republic was way more enjoyable than any instance or dungeon I played in WoW. The storyline and dialogue is awesome, and that's what contributes hugely to this game being fantastic.

The combat and general gameplay is sweet, it's so fluid and star warsy it makes me go YAY.

As I said before, it has a chance of being a WoW killer, due to WoW already losing millions of players this year, and the fact that Star Wars has a bigger cult following than Warcraft. I cannot wait until December 22nd :D

I did not get a chance to do any instances, but Im glad to hear they are worthwhile! I was worried they’d be not so great at first due to them focusing on questing and whatnot. But yea, the story is awesome…. The combat is fun…overall I think they did an amazing job. Potential WoW killer for sure haha

Yeah the general chat is nonsense haha. It is entertaining though, most of the time :P I haven't pre-ordered it yet, but I will most likely do so, due to the cool things you get with the package :) I can afford it now, but not logically :P I have a **** load of Christmas presents to buy, and I'm off on my travels again soon and have to pay for my train tickets.

Bah, sod it, I will get it anyway :P
