Not really a big COD Fan, but Steam is having a free weekend for Black Ops which ends on Sunday at 1PM PST.

I'm gonna download it - thought I'd share with you guys in case some of you wanted to give it a go.

I saw this, and I started to download it, if only I had my good computer back :( I don't know if I'll even be able to play it on this one.

Downloading it. Do you get a free copy of the game, or do you just get to play it for like the weekend?

edit: yes, i am new to steam. and ilyich, when are we gonna play moonbase alpha :D haha

It downloads a copy, but it's only usable until this Sunday. The version of the game downloaded is like a demo.

Lol this. This is why I'm going back to MW2 on the Xbox. The game's just.. blehhhh.

Well I tried it. My PC can definitely handle it, finished 10-4 my first game, only lasted like 10 mins since I went in near the end.

But I definitely need an upgraded PC. In large team fights with lots of flashing muzzles, my FPS dropped from 40-60 to 10-20.

Other than that, I still like the Battlefield series more than COD. I'll probably play more blackops over the next 2 days to get a more feel to it.

Yeah, so.. turns out I can't really play it. This computer's crap, and I couldn't connect to any games, so.. :/
