Eminem sues Audi over advertisement!

A U.S. spokesperson for Audi has responded to the lawsuit filed in Hamburg Regional Court in Germany this week by Eight Mile Style LLC, Eminem's publishing company. The German automobile manufacturer is being sued for using an unauthorized sample of Eminem's Academy Award-winning song "Lose Yourself" from his film "8 Mile."

But seriously wtf? Sure it sounds like it, but it's not it. I'd say the notes are far enough off to avoid copyright infringements.

first time i heard it, I thought it was 'Lose Yourself' playing, but isnt this guy earning enough to prevent him suing them, he should be happy his music is being promoted for free. its not like audi will make money from just playing the track

I think theres more to it than just the soundtrack. The commercial is the exact same concept. Eminem loves Detroit, Chysler is from Detroit, so I think he wants to do it for Chysler/Detroit as well...
