Soooo my wonderful girlfriend went out and bought me a brand spankin' new Samsung S23A350H monitor to play 360 on and to connect my laptop to for other games. Now there's a few slight problems that happened, and that I need fixed that there's no answers for anywhere, so maybe you guys can help.

The only reason I installed the drivers was so I could get the proper 1920x??? whatever resolution onto this second monitor. Here's the messup though. The drivers are saying that my LAPTOP screen is the Samsung. The kicker? They're the drivers for a different monitor model. Now when I plug in the Samsung, it says that it's a generic monitor with max output of 1280x???, which is in fact the max output for my laptop.

Here's some pictures...

Here's with the secondary monitor plugged in: (WRONG DRIVERS TOO, even though I selected to install the correct ones)

And here's without:

The only real problem this is causing me is that my screen is blurry and distorted, which really sucks, and the answers I seem to find are "Just change the resolution" which I can't because the drivers are set to the wrong monitor >.<

Eh hmm... It'd help to know which GPU your laptop is sportin... there are tools for both nvid and ati to force non-native or seemingly unsupported resolutions... nvidia control has even options to create custom resolutions for any output device(monitor)

It's all good, I figured it out...I was an idiot and I installed the drivers to my laptop monitor, not the other one. Is there any way to remove the Samsung drivers from my laptop without my screen blowing up? Or will the old drivers have been replaced and deleted?

:( I don't mind it. 7 is better, but it slows down my computer.
