That's right, ArmA 2 is going to be free to play! It's always been one of those games that I have thought about buying, on many occasions, but I never did get round to it, because of all of the other dominant shooters out there today. So, this news kinda made me happy, because I now get to play it without a thought about money :)

I have heard that the multiplayer is pretty decent, but the game itself could be better. However, it still matches up to be a fun fps, and it will make a fantastic free-to-play game, considering there will be a massive boost in players for the game!

I've only played Operation Arrowhead and it sucks. It's got terrible visuals and the voice acting is the worst voice acting ever.
The singleplayer is awful, due to the low AI, weird motion blur and dull storyline; While the multiplayer is not that good and lags a lot.
The only fun thing about it is the level editor, which gets boring after a while.
Either way it's not worth buying.
But I might download this one, not just because it's free, but also because it is the original - people say that it's better than the expansion.
But first, I'm getting Duke Nukem Forever :D

It's short for Armed Assault. The full name of the game is Armed Assault 2, though people know it as ArmA 2.

Damn it. After so many years, they still failed to make it awesome. Since I already have it, I'll install it in an hour or so. I hope that it's worth the money.

accaully its name is only ARMA2 people misstakenly call it for armed assault 2.

The first Arma was named : ARMA, armed assault. so I have no idee why they took away the armed assault part.

Armed Assault sounds cooler than ArmA - mostly because it makes sense. :p

I haven't tried it yet, I got really busy and completely forgot about it. It was launched at the end of June, so you will be able to download it now :)
