View Full Version : Help Me Pirates of the Caribbean!?
Hay guys!
Do any of you know about the pirate game that is vaguely related to the Pirates of the Caribbean movies? You're a pirate named Nathaniel Hawk and you have to inform the govenor of Redmond island that Oxbay has been attacked by the french and so on and so forth? Do any of you know it?
Well I've played it for years, and just today I realized that there're infact mods and addons for the game to make it more interactive(adding banks, brothels, purchaseable homes, more quests, more texture skins, better looking black pearl etc. etc.), but I've now spent 50 minutes surfing the web, prowling for these addons, and I have yet to find a straight forward "Download Now!" button :(
Is there a miniscule chance that any of you know about this game, the addons, and where/how to get them?

This. It was a self titled game, and what a fantastic game it was, too! I remember playing it for hours with a friend many years ago, and it was great fun.
^ yeah thats it! And it came out on PC, and was later platformed for xbox. its kinda old, like 2003. Either way the game is amazing, and im dieing to get these new fan mods! No one know about them?

I haven't a clue about the mods, I just remember the base game, and I didn't play it long enough to witness any fan mods!

Yea, ive used countless hours on that game. I still love it because ive found no game that portraits naval combat with sailships in a way like that.
Its to date my go to game when i want to engage in old fashioned naval warfare. :)
Lots of great mods out there. :)
But i reccommend this one: POTC Build 13 mod (http://www.moddb.com/mods/potc-build-mod)

I just went on YouTube to have a look at some gameplay videos, and went through some heavy nostalgia :P
What exactly is Nostalgia? Lol I may be top notch in english but there're words that elude me XD
And thanks Exe, I've seen that reffered to all over the place, but the name kinda scares me away, wasn't even good at the whole build thing(For examples Garys mod or whatever, wanted to try it till I saw vids, never getting it now XD)
Either way, do you know how to install mods into the game Exe?

Well according to translate its the same word as in sweden, nostalgisk, aka you think romantically about the past, sort of.

It basically means that you re-live an awesome experience, or at least think about it.

@ Saph, the Build part of the mod's name only refers to what build the mod is. Build 13 basicly means that they have done 13 seperate releases of the mod, with each adding new features, tweaks, units and such. :)
Some prefer to use that over the version system. :)
To bad you didnt fancy Garry's mod, I've had about 1 years break from it and was thinking about starting up again. :)
I usually enjoy games that speaks to my creativity, but then again there are many types of creativity so i can understand why it dosent appeal to some people. :)
