Will other CDs work? Doesn't have to be from start up. I got a similar error about a year ago, my cd drive was messed up, couldn't boot anything - at first I thought it was just one CD, until I tried 10 others on 2 different OS' and it was the same.

I got this error once, and it did it for all CDs I used.

I had to go and get a new CD drive.

Are you booting your PC from the CD drive? or something like that. I really don't know what it could be besides the CD drive.

Did you burn the win7 CD yourself? or did you purchase it? Could be the CD itself. If burned at a high speed, some iso's can become like that. I actually had that with my win7 pro. I got it free through my school's program, but I had to burn it. First time I burned it at full speed and nothing could read it. Second time, burned it at 4x I think, did the trick.

yeah i burned the iso but at default speed, i will try it at 4x and see if that works, Thanks

i burned it a 4X but still boot error, and i also tried on another computer running XP with same error so i installe dit through XP and it worked fine so i will install XP on my other computer and do it that way.
