I understood "Battlefield 1942 talk about it" but then "mods you play how you play everything"? Don't understand that wrong, maybe I can't understand it because I'm from germany but please, can you write more than one sentence? :)

I think he means that he wants to have a thread about Battlefield 1942 in which you can talk about anything you want, including the mods you use/how you play the game/anything you can think of.

if you play the BF series then you may see yourself as a BF gamer from then on; much better than CoD now.
BF1942 is simply fantastic, and it's one of the best games I have ever played. The BF series just got better as each game was released, and it looks like BF3 will continue the pattern by being one better than BF:BC2.

BF takes more skill and there's teamplay involved. CoD is just noobs running around aimlessly these days.

well, the latter was my opinion. the fact of the matter is though, is that it does take more skill and teamwork to play the BF games. you go around in one of eight squads of four working as a team, the bullets and shells that you fire from your weapons and vehicles dip as they travel, so you have to be precise and calculate where your cross-hairs lie, and weapon recoil, range and damage is authentic and more realistic than in any Call of Duty game.

well in cod the recoil is pretty realistic with some weapons but i get what your saying all guns have realistic recoil

BF 1942 is good, but play the expansions, they're the best... I wouldn't play singleplayer, AI is a lil poor but online is fun. I think they've done well with the planes, quite hard but fun bombing people. :) The secret weapons expansion is interesting.

I used to play battlefield 1942 in singleplayer(the singleplayer was a joke but I still loved playing it)
Apart from that I always played it with a friend.
But one day the AI got a bug wich made them moving the weapon in cirkles. It was funny when they had rocket launchers cause the rockets flew all over the place but the problem never disapeard and now I have lost the cd.
