Wearied stuff in minecraft

What's Happening in minecraft I was playing last night and a massive forest was on fire no lava near it does anyone know what caused it cause I'm worried it will happen to my house cause it's in a huge forest :shocked:

I assume its probably a bug/glitch/error in the game, but I agree with Muffincat that its probably lighting. If not, then say bye to your forest :p

if you arent to far one your house re make it out of stone if yo are far make a stone wall around it but yes probably lightning
