Other people have different tastes, like I would rather listen to Shinedown. Didn't notice that it was put twice though lol. It's not necessarily which bands that are super similar is the best, well not how I'm seeing this, but who do you think is better. Doesn't have to be same exact style. Metal and rock break in to so many sub genres :P

i mean, i just think its random that 2 different people decided to pair shinedown against cynic. i try to pair bands that are at least similar (therefore easier to compare)

Slayer have some cool songs. Listen to Metal Storm (Face the Slayer) but they're kinda a one trick pony, every song is exactly the same. Megadeth's stuff has diversity I think though, without ever straying from what makes Megadeth megadeth

Hmm, I'll give it to AILD cause I think they've been more consistent in quality.

I don't like thrash really but I think Megadeth are more than just a thrash band, they're a good band in general. Slayer are just a really popular thrash band, nothing really else to them. Part of what makes Megadeth more than just thrash for me though is the skill associated with the band. Mustaine's a sweet player, but Marty Friedman is simply fantastic. Chris Poland is great too but not as great as Friedman
