Heyho,
well I'm sick of YouTube messing up my videos (it cuts sound, length and it's messing up the quality) so I'm searching for other video portals. Do you have any idea of video portals which are able to upload videos?

If you want you can get a really good example of what YouTube is doing with almost every single one of my videos.

Are you compressing your videos correctly, and are you using the correct file types to upload to YouTube?

I'm not sure about other video portals, and I'm not really sure why YouTube would do that to your videos.

It depends, it could just be how you compress you videos like Jayhmmz said before me, I export mine as a WMV and it works perfectly on YouTube, it may be the program your using, if your using Windows Movie Maker, its a given that it will be bad quality, as Windows Movie Maker is the worst video editing software. Try Sony Vegas Pro, or Adobe After Effects.

Surprise, surprise:

I'm using Sony Vegas 9 Premium, I export as .WMV and 1024x768 with HD.

Editing: Surprising is when I worked with Movie Maker *vomit* YouTube worked fine. Since the beginning of 2011 YouTube is NOT WORKING as it worked before. Do you want to ****ting me YouTube? I buyed Sony Vegas to MAKE good Quality/Editing Videos and now you messed it up? Anyway this is a GOOD Example of what I'm talking about (yeah that is one of my vids):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H45kplIsw2c

You can see by yourself: It was supposed to be a 14 minute video with HD Quality. Now it's A-Sync, glitchy, laggy and cutted. This piece of sh*t reqiured 7 hours of uploading at YouTube.

You can't blame Sony Vegas cuz it's professional. But yes, with wmv and movie maker it works perfectly.
But I'm sure it's the encoding that youtube hates in your videos. Try to set it to some other codec. Start with DivX or Xvid or anything like that. And make samples which are only few seconds long and test the codecs one by one. One of them will work for sure.

Hm...I guess I have to try that then.

Ok, it didn't worked. But you know what I noticed when I tried the codecs out? I only have these upload problems since 11.06.11 . Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought there was at that day an update for the YouTube page?

YouTube is going downhill in terms of quality and layout, I dont think there is much that can be done about it, you might have to stick with it for the time being, they will most likely fix the problem soon enough. You can upload videos to Metacafe (http://www.metacafe.com/) and Vimeo (http://vimeo.com/) as far as I know, but keep in mind, both of these sites aren't as POPULAR as YouTube, and you wont get as much views for the videos you make as there aren't much users on either of those sites, but they are still good, if you want quality [HD] uploads.

You got the exact point of difference between me and the normal YouTuber: I don't give a sh*t about subscribers, comments, likes or views. :D

Metacafe is a huge improvement for me, just for the people who are interested, how the story ends.

as Windows Movie Maker is the worst video editing software.

Never had issues with size, or quality. I've pushed out good HD videos that all I do in Sony Vegas is compress them a bit more.

Maybe Veoh(.com) will give you more luck with your uploads, man. No time restrictions either I'm fairly sure of. They have got full length movies on there.
