It is actually not as good as some other things I have seen, but it is pretty great except for those textures.. bluh.

Voxels are great and all, but it's nothing new about it as these guy's seems to make us want to belive.

While you can create awesome looking stuff with voxels, making anything animated poses a bigger challenge.

I personally dont think this will get far in video games unless they manage to somehow implement normal polygons to act as a "skeleton" for a voxel generated animated objects.

I wouldn't so much say it's a scam, but the technology does exist now. It just can't be used for such purposes, as it would require quite a lot of memory to do.

Did you actually read what he wrote? Because he explains at the end what he means with the word scam.

I think its looks alright, but like Slaylolop said, im not a big fan of the textures used in it.

If rendering to this extent was possible in video games at the moment then I would happily have it over high resolution textures. I would rather have realistic looking objects and surfaces on level design and settle for good quality textures, instead of high resolution.
