my first paint.net sig

i know its not much but i really wanted to crop something and try it out this was my fave Pokemon so i just did it

Looks slightly blurry.
Goto effects hit photos and then sharpen, or, blur the text too, put it in a new layer, and blur just it to blend.

Other than that, I notice everything you do the text looks out of place, ya know? Like the theme on that one is fire, but you have black text over the spotlight aream for that one, make a less archaic font, and put it across the bottom.

Better.. yes.. you can still do better.
Try practicing, our best sig makers, like psychotray came here and thought he was a horrible sig maker, but he practiced and now he is probably the best on this forum.

Work on the initial picture first, then later on the text. Like, make a few pictures, with no text oriented, I will look at them, and then you can add text, and I can help you out.

Paint.net is a program like GIMP

Well, Picnik is a horrible editing program, and Paint.NET is even better than it. He's getting GIMP soon I think.

Its not that confusing once you get used to it, trust me, it looks complicated, but search a few tutorials on YouTube and do them, then you'll get used to it in no time.

That Mortal Kombat one is good, but why does the dragon logo appear scratched and/or have white spots on it?

Looks like a frosted effect, the logo was probably that way when he found it.

Hmmmmmmm, you need an upgrade man, at least, when you advance more. I started making sigs with GIMP, then I advanced to Photoshop. Its not that hard, trust me....

Okay, well, for SOTW you have to make the actual picture, not just adding text somewhere. :P

no the text was put i kinda cheated a bit i rendered the pics missed render spots like the dragon was badly rendered so i fixed it i wanted to see who would catch it good eye mister

Egw333, when you make a Signature, you have to change the picture and make it unique. Like so;

Ya because all i did was edit the rendering job of the dragon because it was rendered but had so bad spots so fixed that up not much other than added the dragon to the text background.

Fair enough, but I still recommend using GIMP for Sigs. Or at least give it a try, its a lot better than Paint.NET, serious.

Here i made a tron one the motion blur idnt turn out the way i hoped but its still not bad.. right?

If you dont know what i did was i got a tron background and a tron motor bike render then i made the render glow more and sharpened the background and render then attempted to motion blur.

Thinking on it, it actually is.. iffy.
Make the blur goto the left, giving the tron thing a sense of direction, the text is STILL out of place, you need some new fonts, goto Dafont.com for some new ones.

That one is pretty nice, still you need to work on your fonts, it doesn't matter what program you have, when you download one, open it, and hit install...

Download a font from here (http://www.dafont.com).
Use winrar, or 7zip to open it, place the TrueFont document to your desktop, and double click it.
You will the get a screen with some text using the font.
On the top it will say "Install" hit it, then you can delete it, goto Paint.net, for example the fonts names was "Jimmy" goto fonts and look for the Js and find Jimmy, it is that easy.

Ok, then goto control panel and find fonts, and just move the font file inside there, and you will have it, installing may be a feature for windows 7...

You can also right click on the font you download, and hit install.
Then when you open Paint.NET, go into your fonts, and change it to the font you downloaded, simple.

Refresh the page your on. Then try again. Sometimes you need to restart your computer.

It is your best yet in some aspects, but, don't unfocus everything.
Focus the mid zombie for a cool effect.

That looks alright, but the font is too generic and boring.
I recommend searching for better fonts, try Dafont.com

Have you tried going to, Control Panel -> Appearance and Themes -> Fonts. Then drag your downloaded text and place it in that folder it should install.
