Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi!

So as some may know, there is a new Dragon Ball game coming out this October, being a big DB fan I thought I would post some information about the game, and hopefully I can meet some fellow DB fans :D

What's new about this game?
- Well it is going to be either a sequel to Budokai Tenkaichi 3, or maybe a new Tenkaichi series, this hasn't been confirmed as far as I know.
- It will include DBZ and DBGT characters!
- It will have QTE's
- There will be boss battles like that in some Naruto games >.>
- There will be a mode where you can customise the characters via pallette swaps, eg give Goku, Vegetas fighting style.

I'm a huge Dbz fan, I've owned almost every Dbz game out there. From all budokais/tenkiachi's to all the legacy of goku's for the GBA including buu's fury. I even own the Dbz games for xbox 360. I can't wait for DBO!!

Yeah they where pretty good, they made some awful mistakes though. Example when a Saiyan character transforms into super saiyan, they open there mouth as if they're screaming, yet they don't. They forgot to include the sound for it hahaha :P

I am A Huge fan of DBZ I have every episode/movie/Game ever made, And I also cannot wait until 25th of October, I Believe this game will be one of the best DBZ games to date, It will defiantly be the best if it allows from scratch character creation, (eg. Female/Male, Hair Style, hair colour, Body type, Skin Colour, Ect.)

If only it allowed such character creation, as far as I know it's only pallet swaps, that was on an interview I watched at comic con, hopefully they announce in a few weeks that it is full customisation though

Yeah, I also heard rumours about this being the final game, and I would be so devastated if that were true.

It is the final game that Spike are going to develop, (they developed the raging blast series too) but it is by no means the final dragon ball game :)

Ah I see, imagine what it would be like if 'Square Enix' made a DBZ game, that would be truly epic, in a way :)

Definitely, hopefully Spike allow the next developers to take over were they left off, rather than the new developers having to start from scratch

I wouldn't mind a Game like DBOnline that people that aren't Japanese can play, With a full character creation at the start (Including Race and blood lines) allowing if you can go super saiyan or not, it would depend on you personality and if a dramatic event happens to your character. lol that was a little to well thought out :)

Raging Blast 2 had Mystic Gohan and Future Gohan, as well as a lot of other characters from the movies, even had SS3 Vegeta :D

Raging Blast 1 didn't have a big enough roster though

Well while me and XeroTehHero were talking last night, I came up with the reason why only Vegeta and Kakarot go SSJ4, Because their 100% Saiyan, Gohan is 50% Saiyan, as is Trunks and Goten, thats why they cant go SSJ3+ because I reckon, You need to be a Pure Blooded saiyan to undergo the necessary changes, now i knoe what your thinking, but when Goten and Trunks fuse they go SSJ3, And thats because They are both 50% saiyan but when they fuse it would mean they are 75% saiyan, just enough to go SSJ3, and thats also why Pan cant go SSJ

Well thats what i came up with anyway lol

It is stated some where, though I'm not sure where, that it is possible for Pan to go SSJ, I'll have to find out where.

Another thing SS4 transformation comes from being the Great Ape, which Gohan is able to be. So in theory it should be possible for him to go SS4, maybe through those waves Vegeta had in GT.

The SS3 argument is fair enough, though I don't think they where ever pushed enough to require the transformation. Gohan didn't really need SS3, as his Ultimate form was some where equal in strength to SS3. I just don't think Trunks or Goten were powerful enough to become SS2, let alone SS3. Though when fused they had the power needed to go SS3. As it was said some where, that being SS3 uses a huge amount of power, so it's hard to maintain, so maybe they never had the power to go SS3

I also decided to watch some GT episodes, and well I discovered that when Vegeta and Bulma were talking about the bulxwaves Vegeta said 'I also transformed into a Great Ape, but I didn't go SSJ4' then Bulma said something irrelevant then Vegeta said something like 'Then again, I wasn't a full blooded saiyan, After all I did have that tsuful living inside of me' I think that proves my theory of only the Pure Blooded saiyan's can go SSJ4, as for the Goten and Trunks not being able to go SSJ2/3 I can only say, it could be possible in GT as in DBZ they are only children, but that would be blown away by Goku(GT) being able to go SSJ3, but he cannot hold it for long, maybe we should move this to the Dragon Ball Discussion thread, as this has nothing to do with the game haha

I was so disappointed about the character creation at first, but now I have seen it, I am so happy with it, it looks great, it is everything I wanted. Honestly I'm delighted with it!

The game play doesn't look superb but it still looks good enough for me, and the boss battles look cool, a little repetitive but still cool. And the Anime cut scenes!!! I can't wait for this game, not long now!!!

Apparently, Gotenks will be in the game but Goten and Trunks wont... that just downed the game for me, I'm still going to by it but I will be quite sad with the absence of Goten, Also Gogeta SSJ4 will be in it but Vegeta and Goku SSJ4 has yet to be confirmed, Again It saddens me to know this, as Goku SSJ4 is my favourite Character to play with. I hope they allow SSJ4 in the Character Creation, if so I would just make Goten and Goku SSJ4, along with my own custom... anyway, just 3 more days for me :)
