I'm really in the mood to discover some new music, more specifically, bands similar to Omnium Gatherum

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09RI2ndQoyw

These guys change up their style a lot but in general I want fast paced, very melodic music with throaty/growled vocals. Chances are I've heard most that come to mind, so if anyone could recommend lesser know bands that I may have overlooked that'd be awesome (lots of metalheads on this forum so I'm hopeful :P)

Also, I prefer lyrics without profanity (I'll listen to it, obviously, the song I posted says ****ing a few times) and nothing like Cannibal Corpse with lyrics about eating vaginal skin and ****.

i'm sitting here, listening to it, like "wtf do i recommend"

Great bands, but yeah, I'm already familiar with both of them. Thanks though!

I've been looking through bands for the past week, but I still feel like my library is missing something, like an itch I can't seem to scratch :P

If I find a band that satisfies what I'm looking for I'll post it..

What do you feel like you're missing? like, do you want something softer? something more fluid? something even more technical? something simpler? lately i've been starting to listen to more simple, stripped down stuff, and i've been enjoying it a lot more than over complicated stuff haha

Im not sure that if these are the bands that you are looking for, but they are my favourite Melodic Death Metal, Technical Death Metal bands, and I think they are pretty awesome... :D

Yeah, already heard of them, and I'm looking for more melodic stuff, not so much techdeath.

I'm not entirely sure, but something similar to the song I posted; I think it's the song that best demonstrates the sound I'm looking for.

It's not really similar to what you posted, but maybe you'd enjoy this?

I found an awesome band that fits right in with what I was looking for:

Still, if anyone happens to find anymore stuff like this post them, I'm always up for new music.

Says the guy who listed Enslaved and Agalloch....

You deaf? :P

They don't sound identical but they're similar. But I was never looking for an identical sound to begin with: 'in general I want fast paced, very melodic music with throaty/growled vocals'

Skyfire and Omnium are also similar in that their music is melodic death, power and black metal fusion hybrid.

Also, thanks for the link Tray, I'll check out more of that band.

oh lol i didn't listen to the whole song, but i heard like melodic guitar playing with black metalish vocals, i'm guessing it gets heavier later on haha.

i'm not saying they're similar, but here's some bands that you may or may not know but probably already do

Haha, yeah, I skipped around through a bunch of their songs to find the similarities, overall the album has a lot of what I was looking for.

Catamenia, going by that song, are awesome, as well as new to me.

Tristania are completely new to me as well, didn't like them as much as Cata but I'll see if I can find some more of their tunes.

Giant Squid: I skipped around the song and they weren't really my style, but I'm gonna look up some more of them.

The Ocean are good too, but I'm already familiar with em

Thanks for the links man!
