Worst glitches

Lots of games unfortunately have glitches and can be outsmarted by good saving tactics. You know what I mean, save on a regular basis so if you hit a glitch there's a good chance you get by next time round etc.

But then there's the glitches that make go ape in despair>:( and there appears to be no hope.

The last one I had like that was n the Harry Potter Lego game (those who've played it probably knows the one I mean). There's a part of the game where you can go to Charms class dungeon (#2 I think). I usually go down there as Tom Riddle as you need at least one dark wizard and by default Hermione is there. After getting the goodies you repair the dragon, jump across the gap and the dragon flips you back into the Charms class. BUT this does not always happen and you are stuck there forever and game progress is impossible, I have only managed the dragon flip once in several games.

Fortunately there's glitch that can get you out, become Hermione (ensure that the extra that prevents from dying when you fall of a cliff etc is turned off) go to the far left and jump into the gap and as you fall quicly call up her cat, you time it right you land up back in the charms class, walk out of the clas and all is back on track.

But this was one monumental screw-up, if you didn't know about the exit glitch or were unfortunate not to be able to use the dragon it certainly ruins the game.

Does anyone know of any other major glitches?

Some of the worst glitches I've gotten would have to be in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I get a few invisible enemies and sometimes I will be unable to move. This especially sucks in the middle of a fight. I get a lot of deaths in the game because of the glitches. And I get a lot of deaths in the game because I suck.

There was a really bad glitch on one of the side quests in Deus Ex: Human Revolution that a lot of people had issues with. You would do a quest where 5 or 6 enemies would be in a room. However in my game the guy literally spawned in the sky/rooftop clear across the city. Had to use a sniper rifle and just blindly shoot at where his target location on the map was to clear it. D:

The two worst glitches I have seen was both pretty game breaking.

One in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. clear sky. About three quorters into the game I encountered a glitch that made the game crash all the time. I downloaded patches but had to start from the beginning.


The other glitch is in dead island. I dont know if they patched it but in an escort mission that you have to do the guy that you are supposed to escort get trapped in a zone walking back and thorth. To break this bug you have to try over and over again.

Quotas. I agree, I got my truck caught on a nick on the road SO many times and when you get out you fall under the map. I had the Dev version though, I could go noclip style.

Call of pripyat are accually the most stable STALKER game out there, clear sky was very glitchy but most things have been patched now.

Good thing I never tried to go for platinum in that game. That kind of thing would have made me bonkers:shocked:

In Halo 3, there's two tracking sytems for the achievements and story progress.

When you finish the mission and the cutscene starts, you get story progress.
When the cutscene finishes, and you have the story progress mark, you get the achievement.

I beat the 7th level, but the disc was unreadable halfway through the cutscene. It said I beat the level, but I didn't get the achievement (since the cutscene didn't finish). I continued on the story, until I beat the game. NOW, the achievement for "Beat all levels on X Difficulty" reads the game progress to give you that achievement, not the achievement progress. After you unlock all three "Beat on Normal/Hard/Legendary", you can no longer get the "Beat X Level" achievements.

I am sitting there without the 7th level beaten achievement, and always will be. I've beaten the level several times, but since I have the "Beaten Game" achievements, the game tricks itself into saying I have that achievement, since I have beaten the 7th level and have the story progress for it, when I don't and never will.

This makes me sad.

The Darkness multiplayer was really glitchy. Still fun, but really frustrating.
