Dan Wheldon the British racing driver died yesterday in a horrible, horrible indycar race accident.

After the announcement that he passed away all the drivers did a 5 lap Salute in memory of him.

Yeah I heard of it about 1 hour after he actually passed away, he had 2 sons :/

Its a shame cause drivers were voicing concerns over the speeds pre-race. This reminds me of Senna, where they had concerns before that weekend and Senna and Ratzenberger were killed that weekend. I think they should get off oval tracks or severely reduce the number of cars in the field to reduce traffic
