I know i am posting this under jokes and fun, but this is not a joke. Just found it hillarious.

Statoil, a norwegian government owned oil company is selling one of their platforms in the north-sea. This is because it was built in 2001 and now it seems that the oil is running dry and they can't justify scrapping it. So they are selling it to the highest bidder.

You will probably need to use a built in browser translator to read this page but here it is nevertheless. :)

There was a british naval base in the North Sea called Sealand which was put up for sale a while ago. The Pirate Bay wanted to buy it so they could operate it in their 'own country' and make torrents completely legal. Would love one of these in the indian ocean so i could keep a watch over those pesky pirates.

I'd rather have one in international waters so i could call myself a pirate. :D

Then i'd paint myself a cool flag and get a parrot, stock up on rum and learn good old pirate songs. :D
