Will the hand controls and memory cards from a PS 2 work on a PS 3.

Will the hand controls and memory cards from a PS 2 work on a PS 3.

Hand controllers 'no' and as for the memory card no as the latest PS3 do not play PS2 games, so if the cards were compatible there would be no point. I do beleve that earlier 3' it was possib;e to play 2's on them but I a 320g wqhich I bought earlier this year and can't retro play discs.
