Okay, so..... There was this PC game I used to play a looong time ago and I don't remember the name of it so I figured I'd see if anyone here could help :D

I don't have much to go on except that the game setting was a haunted mansion, side scroller type game... you either were outside around the mansion grounds (like in the graveyard and whatnot) or in the mansion itself and if I remember correctly the character you played was a hand? Like the hand from the Addams Family.... But I could be wrong about that, I just def know I remember hands! lol I'd say the game is at least 15 years old.... and yea, wow that's totally all I have to go off of lol But I've been searching for this game foreverrrr and can't come up with anything :(

It wasn't a mystery, it was more sort of like and hack n slash if anything. There was no background story or goal to the game really, you just went through the levels killing monsters. I don't even remember having an inventory or anything like that.

It's okay, I didn't have much info to go on so I wasn't expecting anyone to know what game it was. But it was worth a shot! :)

Besides, I should enjoy remembering the game being awesome because Im sure if I found it and played it again I'd prolly be very disappointed :P

I wouldn't be surprised. I tried playing my Pokemon games like a year ago, could not stay interested.

I had the same thing happen some years back. In the old days of the Spectrums (48?), a friend and I used to play Manic Miner into the early hours. Then when I left home got married etc we bought a Spec128 and I got a copy of good old MM and it wasn't the same as I remembered, the same goes for Space Invaders. Guess these games have sort a comfort feeling in the mind.

Def a comfort feeling. I feel the same way about a lot of movies that I loved as a child that just aren't the same after watching them years later.

Is it blood? That's the only game I can think of that kind of fits your criteria.

Nope :( It wasn't a realistic game and it wasn't a shooter. It was like... an amimated, cartoony game and I believe it was much older then Blood because I played it when it came out and I was oh... 8ish? So I think it came out around 1993-1995.

Was a side scroller-ish PC game... not exactly a hack n slash, but there wasn't much else to the game other then killing monsters while making your way through the level.
