A thread to post what you have seen, discuss what you have seen with others. Basically a carnival of movie related talk :). (short or feature length acceptable)
Tarrantella (1940) - abstract animation. pleasant :)
Dailymotion - Tarantella (1940) - a Film & TV video (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xgd0wn_tarantella-1940_shortfilms)
Jam Session (1942) blues short
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOlpcJhNyDI
Casino Jack (2010) - Was ok, didn't know it was a fictional story based on real event
Pathogen (2006) - This was directed by a 12 yo girl, and despite her enthusiasm that showed in the documentary it shows that she needs practice, this was her debut feature length. She has 2 more and im curious to see it and see if she's made improvements. This is sadly is in my bottom 50 but despite that i thoroughly enjoyed seemingly passion for film and film making and hope she gets better and better.

Ay, 12 yo director!? That's awesome! I'll have to check that out. :)
I've only seen mainstream movies recently, sadly...
Has anyone seen Ken Burns' documentary on WWII ? I thought it was extremely fascinating. One of the vets was from my city. Actually was the janitor at my mother's high school back in the day... He passed away a few years ago but it was amazing to hear his story (and all of their stories) and to see The War in such a new perspective to me. I have an immense respect and honor for those who served and all who sacrificed. In that war and in all others. What must it be like to live with that for the rest of your life? God bless them.
But I digress ... Has anyone else seen the documentary?

Yes, that's it! You should definitely watch it if you're at all interested in WWII. I have quite an obsession with the history of WWII so it was very... enlightening, to get so in depth and graphic and TRUE about it. Coming straight from the vets. It's an amazing documentary and Ken Burns, as usual, delivers it with grace and perfection.

I watched The Crucible (1996) today. I enjoyed it. I don't know enough about the Salem witch trials to know exactly how accurate it is but as a story it's good. Just goes to show popular girls really haven't changed even after all these years. I've read the play and that's good too.

Was forced to watch cyber bully yesterday with a friend. Kind of half watched it, basically this girl was called a slut by bunch of people on the internet so she tried to kill her self. Kind of stupid, not much to expect from a chick flick I guess.
Cyberbully (TV 2011) - IMDb (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1930315/)

It feels good that Im not the only one "obsessed" with ww2 history.
The last movie I saw was probably predators, pretty good even if there was a few parts that didnt made up and that the whole film was easily foreseen.

It was a documentary but it did have dramatised parts. Really well made and very interesting. The only WW2 film I like is The Great Escape.

I read about it before I watched it, that what's killed it for me. The animals they show them killing in the movie.... they are actually killing live animals for the filming. Knowing that I couldnt finish watching it :X

White Irish Drinkers - it was ok
Radiant City- it was interesting and f suburbia expansion but it lost it for me at the end when i found out it wasn't legit people and actors
Death Becomes Her- a early 90's movie with Bruce Willis, Goldie Hawn, Meryl Streep. It was ok kinda weird lol
So yesterday wasn't all that successful in finding a new movie that was good but at least it was a day of stinkers :P

Haven't really updated lately. Who here goes a few
Insidious : It was decent, many praised it. Although i could see potential in certain places it falls flat for me
Limitless : I was rather hyped by this and was excited to know it was coming today to Netflix but it's delivery on my hype missed
American Mullet : a 1 hour documentary about you know it Mullets. It was bad and the only reason i watched it cause I just found the concept of Mullet Documentary to funny to pass up.
I like Killing Flies : Its a documentary about this guy who runs this restaurant in nyc, after 32 years at the location the new owners offer him a 1 year lease, why ? because they feel they got him by the nads, they feel he can't move. So they try to hold him hostage. He ends up moving :). Good docu
Keep the River on the Right : A modern Cannibal Tale : From the summary a dude going back to canniball village he once lived with 4 decades earlier seems extremely fascinating but this really just mediocre
