I am sure a few of you have noticed the forum being inaccessible over the past several hours. I have seen a few people mention it in IRC. Our server's apache crashed and it wasn't restarting properly (like it usually does).

I usually get notified via email (which goes straight to my phone) when our monitor finds the site to be inaccessible. BUT, my phone hasn't been working for the past few days. My replacement is coming later today.

The plan is to move the forum out of this server over the weekend, it looks like it's trying to kick us out anyway.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience, I've been having a string of bad luck lately and unfortunately, the forum is experiencing it too.

If you can share,

Where is the server located at?

It's in Chicago.

But we'll be out of this server this Weekend. Will be staying in Chicago because the datacenter is actually stable compared to the many that I've seen (probably just jinxed it), and the new server will have better specs with a fresh install of all software. SO hopefully that fixes our apache issues (among others).

Oh. I'm here in Chicago and apparently this is going to be the worst winter ever here. Really bad weather. I was just wondering if the problems were weather related.

Hopefully it fixes the issues.

The problems are software related. Something happened to the base install of apache or something, I reinstalled a lot of stuff over the past two weeks trying to figure out why it keeps crashing. Even contacted the creators of the control panel who offered to help for free because it was a challenge to them too, they couldn't figure it out either.

I've been testing the new server, I still have a few more configurations to go through, but so far it seems good, no software issues so far.
