Halo 3 Reports $170 Million in First-Day Sales

Halo 3 broke entertainment retail records in its first 24 hours on store shelves by garnering $170 million in sales in the United States alone. (http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/14650/Halo-3-Reports-170-Million-in-FirstDay-Sales/)

Very impressive and even more impressive when you take into account the fact that Halo2 was released near the end of the Xbox's life meaning that there was a lot more Xbox sold than 360.

that is an amazing amount of money but it wasnt $170 million in the first 24 hours because that is united states alone :p

I knew it would do good. Now all we have to do is wait for Halo Wars. By the way I brought my 360 2 days before Halo 3 came out.

lol so did you buy the 360 just because halo 3 was coming out :p. If i wanted to i could combine my money with christmas money to get the 360 but.. i dunno if i should.

Ya I did but I plan to get GRAW 2, COD 4, and GOW also but I have 15 cents to my name. :confused1: But lets get back on topics.

Great I am not the only one with an Xbox 360 on here.

You should get GRAW, Gears and Bioshock they are all good (well I don't know about Bioshock because I don't actually have it yet)

And back on topic....

Yeah that was just in the U.S. I am sure they made a lot here. But it hasn't sold out anywhere up here yet lol

definitely get bioshock its an amazing game lol. COD 4 looks pretty good too but i think COD 2 is better.

But anyway i wonder how much they will make overall :p

that was actually the first 8 hrs the whole day they made close to 200 million cuz people bought 360s at the same time

I live in Scotland (which is in the UK), And the Wii's haven't sold out here. I hate it when people say it's sold out because it might be sold out where you live but that doesn't mean its sold out everywhere
