Hi,

I've come to this forum and noticed that no one ever mentions racing simulator games around here.

If you want to play a racing simulator with a steering wheel (like G25 or such) and got sick of arcade stuff like NFS or Forza or F1 2010 I'd suggest you the following:

GTR: Evolution / Race On Bundle

rFactor 2 (not yet released but looking great/ you can play rfactor 1)

Richard Burns Rally (with the RSRBR addon with tons of new cars and tracks) - Use GIMP's ENB Series for great graphics: download here. (http://www.gamefront.com/files/20061786)

^ that's what I play at the moment. There are many others, you can go check the RaceDepartment forums for more simulators.

Yea racing games have never stimulated me much. I play Forza with my mates sometime but their like fighting games, I'd rather be playing with my pals chillen then actually online racing and mashing buttons in a fighter game.

GT5 is closer to a racing simulator than most racing games classified as a racing simulator, fit hat makes sense lol. I wish I had a G27 or G25 racing wheel though, sadly I'm lacking a job at the moment.

I don't know what to say, never played it to feel the physics. Also I don't really care about graphics n such as long as it has good car physics simulation.

The only thing about console simulators that I can say is this: my friend once told me that "holy god dood, this forza game is so realistic its like the most realistiq thing in teh world. u cant drive if ur no expertz". After playing it, the game offered me a pretty arcadeish feeling, without any car assists and on most realstic level of physics (I dunno what it's called in the game), this friend insisted on saying that this game is the shniz and kept showing me youtube comments saying that it's the best.
- SO I went to their official website, and read something like this:

This game allows both experienced and amateur players to handle the car as it's a combination between an arcade game and a simulator.

...so yeah, for the Forza Motorsport game, it didn't do it for me. Maybe GT5 is a bit different, but seeing what a console simulator is capable of, I'm having my doubts.
